A great stay. In summer you have to enjoy better, now the house was quite cold

An ideal home for resting. Very cozy and perfect to disconnect. We went with our dog and it was perfect, we enjoyed all 3!

Everything was excellent: a highly responsive and available host, both before and during the stay. The house is 5 stars and has everything to be very successful: easy autonomous check-in, amenities, location, tranquility, silence, flock of sheep near the property that made the wonders of the little ones, beautiful nearby areas (to walk, enjoy the regional cuisine in one of the many restaurants or where to find a supermarket or pharmacy available) about 20/30 minutes (or even 1 hour away), such as Castelo de Vide, Marvão, Alter do Chão, Crato, Alpalhão, Campo Maior, Estremoz, Elvas, Évora. The pool, for private use (not shared with anyone else, as there are no more guests on the hill), is simply wonderful, with a breathtaking view of the mountains and a few houses around. It has sun loungers and a grassy area, with a sun hat and shade from several trees. A charm. Highly recommended!

This is a tranquil place to stay if you are looking for spot to relax! I would stay here again. If you are traveling with dogs, note that their rules do not allow the dog to be left unattended in the unit or to be on furniture/bed. They have doggy beds and water/food bowls for dogs if you need them. The units look exactly like the listing photos. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. If you are coming in on a Sunday plan to bring some groceries with you as there are not grocery stores or restaurants open nearby. I’d recommend going to Salto for a glass of wine and a stroll across the border to Portugal. This spot is also a great home base if you are looking to hike to the Dolmens or stargaze at the lookout for Berrocal de la Data. Thank you again for your hospitality. This was a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay in the Fontanheira houses, without a doubt I give 5 stars. The house has all the conditions for a couple with 2 children, very spacious, modern and beautifully decorated. My daughters say it was the coolest house where they stayed, they loved it! But note to those who have smaller children, that access to the mezzanine can be a bit dangerous, because the stairs do not have lateral protection, which for us was not a problem, as my daughters are already older. We stayed in the house farthest from the pool, which has a stunning view to the mountain (I don't know if the side house will also have). Great house to disconnect from everyday stress and recharge batteries in the middle of nature.

The house was just like the pictures! The barbecue and swimming pool area are great for relaxing and eating good grills! Calm Zone, great for resting away from the confusion of the cities! The house has everything that is needed and Ricardo was always very friendly, in sending the information as well as during the stay!

Lovely stay at Casa Serra São Mamede. The house is about a 10-15 min walk (depending on your walking pace) to the centre of the village. Casa Serra São Mamede was as described; spacious inside and outside, with the amenities required for a comfortable stay, with parking at the house (there's also parking spaces not far from the house as well). The location was great for embarking on the PR3 PTG Alegrete circular walking path (about 4 hour hike) as the starting point is close to the house. Where the house is located is peaceful with the sound of the nearby stream. Check-in was a breeze and Jéssica was very responsive and helpful. We was running late in terms of check out, and when we informed Jéssica, she kindly extended checkout time time at short notice; thank you! Would definitely recommend Casa Serra São Mamede!

We can definitely recommend this place! It is a charming cottage that is part of an old monastery. We found everything we were looking for: a lush garden with fruit trees that we were allowed to pick from, a fireplace, a well equipped kitchen and a terrace with bbq. Miranda received us warmly and decorated the cottage with care, nothing was missing. Thank you for this experience Miranda!
