Holiday rentals in Ba Bể District

Harry and his family were awesome hosts. Ba Be is such a beautiful spot. The boat tour with Harry's dad Mr. Soa was absolutely fantastic and well worth the money. Harry also did a great job helping us organize transport to and from Hanoi.

We loved staying here - Thuan and her family are lovely and made us feel right at home. Rooms are great, the view of the lake and rice fields is beautiful and they provide delicious meals for dinner and breakfast. Fully recommend staying here!

The place has a picturesque view, the rooms are tidy, but rather spartan, because there is a wardrobe missing. Unfortunately, Thuan wanted to pay for breakfast, although it's included according to AirBnB. Also, the dinner was outrageously expensive, 240,000. For comparison, a large bowl of water costs 40,000 in Hanoi.

Wonderful view with great food from the cook. Tiam handled a small misunderstanding gracefully. Recommended place!

Our stay was an absolute delight! The view from the room is worth it all on its own! But more Luan was a most kind and helpful host. He went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable and arrange activities for us even though it overlapped with a local holiday. He took time to talk with us and explain about local customs and the holiday. The lake is a quick motorbike ride and we enjoyed kayaking and a boat trip he arranged for us. I would highly recommend! He also has excellent English so if you don’t speak Vietnamese there won’t be an issue.

Ba Be lake exceeded my expectations with its natural beauty surounded by mountians the village is so quiet and the homestay nicely located with views over looking one of the streems running to the lake and rice fields and close to a sports area for badminton and volleyball witch i joinded in with the locals and other visitors for games each afternoon. The homestay was clean and comfortable the food great and more than i could eat and the local rice wine was pretty tasty compared to the comercil stuff. Did a boat cruise down one of the rivers feeding into the lake that flows through a cave under a mountain befor entering the lake where they stopped the boat to let us swim over to a small island. With barriers set up on the roads to keep trucks off the roads in and around the area its a great place to walk cycle or hire a moto to explore the other small villages creeks caves. When i left after 3 days i was thinking this is a place id like to spend a week or two at.
