Family-friendly holiday rentals in Aventine Hill

Amazing location right in the very heart of Trastavere. This apartment had everything we needed for our short stay in Rome and was in a perfect location to access the sights of the city and the dining and nightlife of charming Trastavere. It was exactly as described and Germana was a friendly and welcoming host. Hopefully one day we can return.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful apartment in Rome! The location couldn’t have been more perfect—tucked away on a charming street, yet just steps from all the major sights, cafes, and gelato shops. The apartment itself was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Our host was also incredibly responsive and welcoming, providing great local recommendations and making check-in a breeze. Waking up each morning and stepping out into the heart of Rome was a dream. We would come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Eternal City!

This was a great apartment. Great patio, nice, clean and spacious. Loved the neighborhood. They were great hosts-allowing us to drop our bags early was a big plus. Gave us a great list of recommendations. Terrific to have a washing machine! Perfect. Thank you for the great stay.

We stayed at several Airbnbs on our trip to Italy and this was undoubtedly the best. Every detail, from cleanliness, comfort, decoration, to leaving recommendations, adapters for the plugs, it really was a very good experience...

From the very beginning Fidia was proactive and very responsive! We were sent the house manual right away with all the directions and recommendations right at hand. Their assistant, Allan, was there to greet us when we checked in and he gave us a tour of the home and went over all of the instructions. Fidia also recommended crazy4rome for our tours and they were also fantastic. All of our transportation was arranged for us as well. The home is located right in central Rome and is walkable to many great restaurants and attractions. Would definitely go back!

This might be the most thoughtful and pristine Airbnb my family and I have ever visited. Perfect location, wonderful shower, lovely views, cozy beds, and very suitable AC for hot summer nights in Roma. The lift for our heavy luggage saved my husbands back, even though the apartment is only on the second floor. Paola is a prideful owner of her charming apartment and it shows with every detail. Will definitely refer my friends to this one of a kind accommodation. Can’t wait to visit again. 🩷

Lovely home & a wonderful stay. Perfect for our group of 10 (range 18 yrs to 64 yrs). Camille, Mariastella’s daughter, met us at the home, she was just the sweetest! She speaks fluent English, was very patient (it seems like all 10 of us were asking her questions at the same, yikes) with us & explained every detail about the apartment. She suggested several local bars, eateries, etc. The apartment is a 3 minute walk to the bus line, so very convenient. Mariastella offered to set up a driver to/from the airport. I highly recommend taking advantage of this, our trip was in for smooth sailing beginning at the airport!

This place was a gem. To be this close to the Coloseum makes one feel like a true Roman. 24hr grocery a few feet away, tons of great food just a walk away into the Monti neighborhood, close to a metro, pharmacy at end of street, and AMAZING Air Conditioning in the bedrooms. You will not melt. One floor up with a lift for luggage. Plus Massimo is communicative, kind, and checked in on us. If you want location as your primary quality, look no more!

Beautifully decorated unique and spacious studio in a great location! Only a few blocks to the "heart" of Trastevere with a never-ending assortment of restaurants. We staid here with our kids (3 and 6 years) and the easy access to bed after late dinners was great. Even greater was the small terrace infront of the apartment where we could still sit and enjoy the evening after the kids fell asleep. The apartment, being at a courtyard of a building, was quiet during the night. There were 2 storeys of fairly narrow steps to reach the place (1 up, 1 down), so this could be something to consider if traveling with very small kids. Our host Francesco was kind and flexible. We had a fabulous stay, the apartment is cosy, super clean, really quiet, cute terrace to enjoy breakfast in the shade and afternoon sun. Every little detail is there and the fridge is stocked with items as well as coffee, sweets….Best apartment ever 💯Good backery just around the corner, supermarkets just a short walk, easy with tram 8 to the train station and city centre and bus to Vatican. We had some excellent diners in local restaurants and it was nice to get out of the busy centre. But most of all Valentina is absolutely great,reacts fast, could leave our luggage until afternoon departure. She is just the best and made our stay perfect! Grazie mille ❤️

Matteo was a great host! We only stayed one night but the location was great. Wish we would have had longer to enjoy the area.

This is the epitome of a 5 star AirBnB. Room was beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable. Coliseum is a short walk away. And Frederica was the nicest, most informative host I’ve ever had and she was so fast to respond to any messages. Truly a perfect stay, couldn’t ask for more.

Guido's place is located in a very walkable area but outside of the primary tourist locations in Rome which can get quite noisy and crowded. Lots of restaurants, a fantastic gelato shop (Fassi), a nice park nearby, and it's about a 15 minute walk from the Termini train station. The location was perfect for us, and the space provided everything we needed for a short stay in Rome.

The apartment is very close to Colosseum, a police station is on the same street which makes you feel very secure. Seb is an excellent host, always willing to help. When I felt the pillow was too firm for me, he even bought 2 new pillows, he is not a person of words but action!

Our family of 11 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, historical home. The check in was easy with clear instructions. The neighborhood was friendly and we walked to the close by market and restaurants Public transportation was easily accessible The host responded quickly to our inquiries and provided helpful information.

Stefano’s place is lovely, loads of space and everything you need. Lots of places to eat close by and the metro just a short walk away to take you right into the centre of the City, literally a few stops away. The outdoor area is just perfect and a great way to relax after a busy day! Stefano was always quick to respond on everything before & during our stay. Would highly recommend a stay here if visiting Rome.

Jimmy is probably the most helpful host I've ever met.We are coming to Rome by car, there are convenient free parking spots near our stay, and he is also very familiar with transportation to the Vatican or Rome attractions.If you want to go near the Colosseum, you can drive 5 minutes from the accommodation to the nearby subway station.The whole stay is also very comfortable, the TV, microwave oven, and the oven is also unique. The flat is such a cozy place where you can find a big balcony. The interior is very warm and all amenities are new. I would say jimmy is a great and super helpful host. He provides clear check in instructions and many good recommendations on food and places to visit. Such a pleasant experience.

Alex was an ideal host. Met us on arrival and showed us around. He was always available via messages if required. The house was fantastic and the gardens and pool were beautiful. The pool is quite deep with a diving board. We decided not to rent a car and taxis were quite expensive so we relied on buses and the metro to get around. A metro bus ticket is 1.50 euros which gives you 100 minutes of travel on the bus and metro ( only one metro ride per ticket ). There are 3 big supermarkets including Lidl which can be reached catching the 88 bus outside the gate. The 906 bus can take you to Valle Aurelia where you can catch the metro to Rome Central. Overall, we all had a fantastic time and loved every minute of it. A fantastic host of a lovely villa.

Cosy apartment with real fire

Perfection. Absolutely loved it. It had everything we needed. Comfortable, clean and safe. A really peaceful sanctuary after the hectic feeling of the city centre. But so centrally located. We cycled to the centre on bikes we hired from a bike shop about 5 mins walk away. It took about 25 mins to cycle to the centre. We also got taxis a couple of times for convenience and it was a 10 min drive to the centre/termini station, cost 10-20 euros. The swimming pool and beautiful garden were a godsend in the heat. Ale and Roby were welcoming, kind and helpful, such lovely people. The friendly family cats were the icing on the cake! Highly recommended - we were sad to leave! The accommodation was lovely, with a beautiful property and a peaceful, quiet location. It was easy to reach and explore Rome from there, making it a perfect base for our stay. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay! Very peaceful and everything was perfect in the house. The pool and grounds were lovely. Probably our favorite Airbnb stay we've ever had.
