Seaview Cottage on the Island

ZoeRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a beautiful stay at Seaview Cottage. Niall was there to greet us on arrival and show us around. The attention to detail and little touches made us feel so welcome along with the friendly host and unbelievable views made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We highly recommend staying at Niall and Janeen’s cottage, thank you both very much for having us!

Maggie's Cottage

LauraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Beautiful house! Every bit as good as it looks to be in the photos. Looking out through the main window in the lounge area we were able to watch the ships and boats sail past on the sea and looking through the other window at the back of the house we were able to watch the clouds and rain storm folding over the mountains. Then this morning while enjoying our coffee we to watched the rabits play in the field behind us. Such a magical place and so peaceful. We had such a lovely time and hope to be back soon. Have stayed here 3 times now and it never fails! Beautiful place with everything we needed and more. A short drive into newcastle town for some food or you can order to the house on Newcastle Eats which John suggested. Hot tub was great and underneath a shelter perfect for irish weather! Outdoor sofa was a great touch. Looking forward to my next stay :)

Quirky Barn & BBQ area - Events & Gatherings

Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of magical. The artistic decor and thoughtful touches made it more than just a house—it was an experience. The man cave with its bar, the expansive outdoor space with a hot tub, a tent, and the versatile sports area offered endless enjoyment. The kids loved playing with the friendly dogs, and the host felt like an old friend, adding warmth to our stay. Truly unforgettable.

Charming Period Cottage, Strangford Lough, Co Down

JoanneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our third visit. We love it more every time we come. A very special cottage with lots of space for family both inside and in the extensive gardens and walks around the island. The views over Strangford Lough from the cottage and garden is so serene. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it all.

Stone cottage

JennyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a delightful cottage. It had everything we needed + more. Great shower, comfy bed. After travelling for a few days we appreciated that there was a washing machine, and a dryer also if we needed it.Suzanne made us feel very welcome and left bread, milk, butter, coffee, tea and lots of other food items which we could use if we wanted. Her communication was great. The village is gorgeous and has a good selection of restaurants. We went into Belfast one day, catching the train from Bangor to avoid the stress of driving in a city we didn’t know.

The Lookout, Ballyhalbert- cottage with sea views

AlisonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house was beautiful and exactly how it looked in the pictures. The view is so fabulous, changing with the tides and daylight. Great garden area as well for my doggy. The town itself is very quiet with only a shop and a chip van - which is currently closed on weekends. We were able to pivot and cook a decent meal in the house though instead, then go to a nearby town the next evening for food. Really chilled place to stay as a base for seeing around the rest of the area. And always a bonus when you can bring your four-legged friends 👍🐾

An art and garden lover's hideaway

CliveRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is simply a delightful place to stay: peaceful, beautiful and with a rare spiritual dimension in that so much of Mike's personality, passions and enthusiasms infuse everything within and without. We felt totally at home and left feeling refreshed and restored in a way seldom experienced before. Indeed, we felt we were departing from a friend.

The Stables - Luxury Cottage with Hot Tub

MRating, 5 stars68 months ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Stabble. Owner lives next door & the careful attention to our request from Martina & Dill made this stay even more enjoyable. On our arrival fresh milk in fridge and scones with butter and jam awaited us. House was cosy : warm, comfortable sitting room and scrupulously clean bedrooms and bathrooms. And happiness for us and kids: completely private hot tub in the backyard. We chose this exclusively for Hot Tub and really enjoyed relaxing in it, which was included in price... If Hot Tub is not your choice, you may find cheaper options too. But again, only 15 mins drive from City makes it a best choice probably for those who want to stay in a peaceful setting yet close enough to City. Thanks to Martina & Dill.

Quaint “Lilac Tree Cottage” Greyabbey

GerardRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a great stay at Lilac Cottage, we were staying there as our son’s wedding was at Orangetree House, lovely cosy sitting room, well stocked kitchen and the cottage was spotless. Unfortunately we didn’t get the full benefit as it would be a great location for anyone to explore the Ards peninsula and across to Strangford and Mourne Country and come back to relax in the garden. Janet had also left us some ‘goodies’ and even Pooh bags for the dog! Apologies I took her for a walk and still have them 🙈 would 100% recommend and all being well will use again
