The Cuckoo's Nest: Waterfront summer retreat

The Cuckoo's Nest is 3-hours east of Toronto and 2-hours west of Ottawa. Our lake is perfect for fishing, it is connected to the Salmon River system. There is a boat launch down the road --or make use of our canoe. Guests fall in love with this place and choose to come back year after year. The Cuckoo's Nest boasts a bunkie that can be used for sleeping, or as a games room, in the warmer months and can accommodate 2 additional people. The bunkie now has a 2 piece bathroom for guest convenience.

Nature lovers dream. This simple, rustic cabin sits on a point overlooking a beautiful clear lake. A quiet stream filled with beaver, loons, and a duck family runs beside it, with a sweet swimming rock to slide into the warm soft water. This a very popular lake for fishing large and small mouth bass, walleye and lake trout. Watch the sunrise over the lake from the deck, bbq off the back of the cabin or take a break in the hammock. Enjoy an evening canoe or a paddle boat ride. Pet friendly.

Mapleridge Cabin

On top of a ridge of Sugar Maples is a 400 sq foot cabin sitting on a lovely piece of Canadian Shield. The cabin is open concept and is well appointed with a super comfy queen-sized bed, a wood stove, and an off-grid kitchen, additional sleeping is on a sofa bed. This is glamping at its finest! The cabin is located at the rear of our 20-acre property with trails and wildlife to explore. ***Please note that you will have to walk approximately 200 metres to the cabin from where you park.

Guests are welcome to rest and recharge in the space, enjoying the warmth of the wood stove while taking in the peaceful surroundings.

The Woodland Escape

Step back in time. Experience living in a one room cabin heated by a wood stove and lit by candles and lanterns. Your bathroom is an outhouse. There is no running water or electricity. You can ski, snowshoe or hike on the 40 acre property. Also, within minutes of the cabin are numerous trail systems, lakes and beaches. The Naturalist- Woodland bunkie with Sauna

The perfect glamping experience! Enjoy all the outdoors have to offer with minimal set up! Your comfortable Bunkie, complete with double bed, is just steps away from your private Bon fire pit. Visit our Sauna and cold plunge for some R&R. Enjoy the trails on the property, or head down the road to the lake. Or, if you want to go a bit farther, we are well located to visit Bon Echo, Sharbot Lake, Perth and more!

Cranberry Lake Cottage

Perched on a majestic slab of Canadian Shield, this peaceful waterfront cottage is tucked away for absolute privacy off a quiet country road on Cranberry Lake, near Arden. The cottage features a spacious combination living room/kitchen. The space also features 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom off the upper level loft. The bird's nest solarium (accessible via one of the bedrooms), is a great lookout.
