Apartment holiday rentals in Arco da Calheta

The accommodation is located in a quiet, very steep side street (previous guests did not exaggerate with the description😉) in the middle of banana plantations. The best thing is the unobstructed direct view of the sea and the coast (mega sunsets!). The accommodation and all utensils were very clean and the beds comfortable - only the knives could have been sharper. The facility was well maintained and generally corresponded to the pictures. Lisa was very responsive to questions and concerns and promptly provided us with instructions incl. Videos sent, as we get to the accommodation. For half of our 12-day stay, we were offered a room cleaning. If you dare, park on the property - we had a large van and did not dare to drive down and instead parked up the street. The accommodation is not far from the center (shopping) of Calheta by car. We liked it and would come back again.

We had a wonderful stay here! The views are absolutely stunning – floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the ocean and hills, and we enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting every day. The place was also spotless when we arrived, which made us feel instantly at home. The location is ideal for exploring the western part of Madeira, which also happens to be the sunniest part of the island – we had consistent sunshine throughout our stay, even when other parts were cloudy. The place offers great value for money and was a perfect base for relaxing and adventuring alike. A couple of small downsides: the TV and kitchen appliances could use an upgrade, and the WiFi was down for a day during our stay – but Sandra was very responsive and got it sorted. Overall, a fantastic experience and we’d definitely recommend it!

This is a beautiful place! The pictures did not do it justice. It was open and spacious, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped in! We traveled with our 3 adult children and we had plenty of space. There were a lot of extra touches-fresh flowers, a cooler to use, swim towels, complimentary cake and wine, and blankets for use out on the patio. The parking was convenient as we rented a car for travel on the island. We took the path to town and wish we would have done this earlier to enjoy the beach. Daniel’s apartment was the perfect place for our trip to Madeira. It is located very central right next to all the main areas and within 100m of the beach and the main dining area. The apartment was very well maintained. Everything was in pristine condition. Air conditioning worked perfectly and even the kitchen was super useful. He also put a Marshall speaker inside which was super useful and a private terrace. Daniel also prepared a file full of local recommendations for restaurants and an itinerary and also clear instructions. Would recommend!

We stayed here for 9 nights as a couple and were absolutely thrilled. Communication was excellent, even before the booking – friendly, smooth, and very helpful, which gave us a great feeling right from the start. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with high-quality amenities – nothing was missing. A real highlight were the balconies and the stunning rooftop terrace – perfect for relaxing! We were also able to use the parking space after arranging it in advance, which was very convenient. Grocery stores and great restaurants are within walking distance – the location is ideal. We felt completely at home and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Casa Boho is the perfect spot for a comfortable and relaxed holiday. Right from the start you’ll feel the holiday vibes, due to the beach decoration that can be found throughout the entire apartment! The communication with Christine is perfect. She’s proactive with information about location, directions, and information about restaurants and activities. The apartment itself is spacious, has a sunny rooftop terrace including a hammock, and it is equipped with everything you need (small kitchen for easy meals, beach towels, board games, (shopping) bags, and more. So look no further if you want be ensured of a relaxed holiday!

we loved the location - it is a drive away from the main attractions which was great for us as we enjoyed the peace and quiet Sandra was super helpful and we had no problems during the stay the flat provides everything you need, not a high end place but we didn't care about the fancy design -everything was clean and up to date

Thank you Kevin for a lovely stay in Madeira! We loved being able to watch the sunset from the balcony and listen to the sound of waves as we fell asleep. The location of this apartment is perfect - a short walk to a few spots along the coast for dinner or drinks and an easy drive to many gorgeous beaches and hikes on the island! Great option if you are wanting to get out of the busier Funchal area. We will be recommending this spot to anyone we know who is traveling to Madeira! Kevin was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, including setting us up with an easy rental car service!

Zeza is a very friendly host; she welcomed us and explained all the nuances and details. the apartment was spotlessly clean and cozy, equipped with everything we needed, and offered a stunning view of the ocean and mountains. one of my best experiences on airbnb. There were 4 of us, the accommodation is spacious and very well-equipped, the pool was a plus and very appreciated in the evening where after hikes, the environment and the view are just amazing. It's quiet. Communication with the host was quick and easy. We recommend +++

Great apartment which gives the feeling of home. Very well equipped with everything you need to spend the holidays. Close to shops, restaurants, paddle court, port which made it easy to find activities. 5 min walk to two beaches (sand and rocky). Very responsive hosts, clear instructions were given from the beginning. The parking place saved us from the hassle of finding parking so great value to have. Would recommend for a family stay

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

It was a very nice apartment with a lovely terass and outside kitchen facilities. We were out and about during these days and didn't get to use the BBQ or the jacuzzi, and would recommend to stay here longer than two nights to make use of it all. To be clear, it is part of a family house but you barley notice them living next doors. An easy parking spot is included as well.

This was a beautiful Airbnb with a great patio. Tons of wonderful restaurants were in walking distance. Paulo was a very friendly host and even delivered fresh bread every morning!

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!

If I could, I would give to this accomodation and Patricia way more stars :) The flat is perfect. Great location, ocean view, everything was clean, nice and neat. Also those little, but big, details - dimmable light, extra fluffy blanket (not going to spoil more:) Watching stars while in jacuzzi.. Just awesome :) And Patricia is amazing host. Always quick answer, helpful, proactive, friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and I will definitely book this place again, if we ever come back :)
