Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Apalachicola Bay

We were especially impressed with the well stocked kitchen. Had everything we needed if we wanted to cook in and watch the sunsets. The beach chairs and towels were good quality and not the cheap like ones you find some places. Nice large living room and kitchen area to gather. Big tvs for watching NCAA softball! We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinners outdoors on the large picnic table on the deck. Great view, nice beach. Maria couldn’t help the seaweed that washed in but she voluntarily sent someone over to try to clean it up. The outdoor shower and toilet were especially convenient. Pool clean and well maintained. We had a great time. As far as price it was expensive but we had great amenities and the elevator was essential for my husband’s 89 year old mom who wanted another beach trip! Thanks for being so responsive Maria to anything we needed.

We have travelled to this area for years and this is by far the best house we have stayed at. Gorgeous house, plenty of space for our big family. We had a blast with the golf cart, E-bikes and video games. Beach chairs were in excellent condition. House was beautifully decorated. My only complaint is they made us leave , I could have stayed forever LOL . Even accommodated a late check out. Communication is top notch. We will definitely be repeat customers . Thanks Darin for the best Mother’s Day a mom could have.

This luxury rental has it all!! We will be back to visit soon. The house is amazing. It was very clean both inside & outside the home. I am ocd when it comes to inspecting a rental for a stay for myself and my family. The beds were perfect with luxurious sheets and pillows. The towels for the shower were impressively large for a bath towel and you didn’t have to look hard to find more. There’s a grill that we used for a quick hamburger cookout for lunch one day. You are minutes from the island and close to all the fun things in Eastpoint & Apalachicola. There is so much rich history in the area like the Orman House & botanical garden we got to visit this trip because the house was so close. The host is a wealth of knowledge and gave us great recommendations that were spot on. They’ve also got a great binder in the front room with brochures for a great charter & all the places around you. I can’t say enough good things by about this place. Loved it & was sad to leave.

We had the best time at Michelle’s place! Not only was Saint George Island beautiful, but her house was perfect for us and our best four legged friend 🐶 Michelle was very communicative and responsive during our entire stay, which is always reassuring when away on vacation and staying in someone else’s home. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting SGI ❤️

The house was great! We came in for a fishing trip. Plenty of room to park the boat and 1 extra truck. Good proximity to the city boat ramp. Full of cooking utensils and very clean. 10/10 do recommend this house.

Mara’s place was wonderful! The pictures do not do it justice! The walk to the beach is short and beautiful. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. Mara was exceptionally responsive and helpful. My family and I want to come back next year!

This was the perfect location for our getaway. The two bed two bath setup was perfect for two couples with lots of space on the living room and on the porch to relax and hang out. Everything looked exactly like the pictures and was as described. The beds are comfortable but on the softer side in case that is helpful for others to know. The kitchen had almost everything we needed to cook with lots of prep space. Just note that there isn’t oil or spices so bring those if needed. The beach is super close and it was easy to walk back and forth all day long. We appreciated the beach wagon and gear for our use. The town is a bit of a walk but we enjoyed walking and rented bikes to get back and forth. We had great weather on our stay so everything was overall pretty great.

My husband and I had a great time celebrating our 65th birthdays at Cape San Blas. Our stay was very comfortable with everything that we needed. We look forward to returning next year!

Excellent place to stay! We were surprised by how much more spacious the house was in person. The house was well equipped, organized and clean. Almost every single thing we could think of that would be beneficial to our stay was supplied at the house. The golf cart was a huge plus for our group. We could more easily get our stuff to the beach and made it convenient to explore the community. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable!

I can’t begin to describe what an amazing beach house this was. It went above and beyond my expectations. I felt right at home as if it was my own. The distance to the beach was perfect. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. I was able to take my dog for a few mile long walks around the neighborhood. The sunsets are beautiful as well as the early morning breeze that blows through the screened in porch. The swing on the porch was big enough to sleep on. And if you are lucky you might even get to hear, see and feel the jets fly over heading towards or away from the near by Air Force base. But don’t worry you would hardly know the base was there unless you knew ahead of time. There are many restaurants and a cute little downtown. There is a lighthouse in town and even a Sea Turtle Center. I would definitely recommend Lourdes’ Pink Door Vacay and cannot wait to go there again soon.

This place truly was perfect for a family vacation! Michelle is a wonderful host and her home is beautiful, clean and comfortable inside and out. If you’re looking for a private but close to everything place, this is it. Michelle was quick to respond and she took time to check in to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Michelle for helping to make our time a great one!

We had a great time during our stay. It fit our family well and we loved the option of being able to walk to the beach, play pickleball, swim in the pool or use the nearby bike path with the bikes we rented. During our stay, we had a little trouble with the grill, but Phillip was quick to troubleshoot the situation to help solve the problem!

We had a few minor issues with the outside lights and pool light not working. Shellie was very responsive. The outside trash from previous guest wasn't picked up by garbage service until we had been there 3 days. We did mention it. The home is older and could use some updates but it was still a nice place to stay with lots of room for the eight of us. The location is good, pool is nice, loved the screened porches, plenty of pots, pans and dishes, plenty of seating in the living room. Overall, it was good stay and we would be happy to stay again.

My family are returned guest. This home feels like our home away from home! We love the area because it is quiet, not overly crowded, and not commercialized! Beautiful beach that allows you to have your pets vacation with you! You're allowed to have golf carts on the beach which is a great feature. Saved us numerous trips back and forth to set up for our beach day.

This place was amazing! While we’re not Airbnb experts, this was by far my favorite place we’ve stayed. The place was much larger than I expected, and the community was very nice. The walk to the beach was a bit far in the heat, but there’s plenty of parking and no crowds, even on Memorial Day weekend. The place is stocked with almost everything you need, plus so much more! We will absolutely try and book this location next vacation!

Wonderful place to stay. Loved the view from the back deck and the dock. Lots of fishing from the dock and very close distance to the beach and restaurants. Our family loved this location and would definitely stay again.

If you’re looking for a quiet beach getaway, this is absolutely the place to stay! Loved the area, lots of yummy food, peaceful/not crowded beach, plenty of space for all the family. The host was kind and quick to respond plus his guide was helpful throughout our stay. We didn’t have any issues with the house and hope to visit again in the future. Lovely vacation for myself, my sister and her child, my elderly mother, and my pup!! Also, the outdoor shower was fantastic in helping keep sand out of the house.

I stayed at this rental home for 4 days, and it was a great experience. The house was very accommodating and spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and feel comfortable. It’s perfectly located in the Cape and within walking distance to the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Communication with the host was excellent—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway.

This is the 2nd year that we stayed at The Spicy Pelican and we throughly enjoyed it. The balconies are superb and spacious. The house was clean and ready for us. Especially nice is that the owners have a large pantry off the kitchen in which there are spices, olive oil, and many things that might have been forgotten while packing. All I can say is that you cannot go wrong with The Spicy Pelican. It’s not right on the beach but it is so close that it really doesn’t matter. 5 star review!!

Good things do come in small packages! The unit is a 2 bedroom with comfortable beds and living room area. Also very nice outside areas (front and back) with a privacy fence and even an outdoor shower, washer and dryer in one area and a screened in porch with nice table and chairs in the other area. Nice kitchen area with ample pots, pans and utensils for cooking, with full sized stove, microwave and coffee maker. Living area has a comfortable sofa and large TV. Air conditioning was more than enough to cool the interior if needed. The whole unit appeared to be updated and was very clean. We would definitely return and communication when needed was always followed up with a prompt reply from the owner.

This is a beautifully decorated, comfortable home in a quiet area very near the bay and a short distance to a public beach. The home is well stocked and there were many extras to meet your needs. The area is very walkable. Had a great stay and would highly recommend.

This is one of the loveliest vacation rentals we've stayed at over our years of traveling. With our kids grown now, taking trips - just the two of us - is going to be more common and this was perfect for my wife and I but could have easily accommodated the 4 guest limit. The home is cozy yet spacious and has everything you'd need for a trip to the area. One thing we loved particularly was how it was nestled in a quiet, small neighborhood that made it the perfect place to come after a long, busy day of activities. And it was well kept up with nice touches that made it feel like home-away-from-home. Highly recommended if you coming to the area!! Thank you Allison and Kyle for a fantastic stay and making this a trip a great memory for us.
