Nestled near the world-famous Big Hole River of Montana and the magnificent Pioneer Mountain Range, the Pioneer Mountain Cabins offer the best in country living. Located in the quiet country town of Melrose Montana, this area provides endless outdoor recreational activities for you and your family. April through December, we have four cabins that are within a short walking distance to one of the best fishing spots on the Big Hole River. The fishing is world-class, and the wildlife is abundant!

Mountain View Cottage with Piano

This unique, tranquil getaway is located just off I-90 midway between Yellowstone and Glacier. Bring your songwriting ideas or your old piano book and relax while you look at the mountains. Airy kitchen has full-size gas range/oven, refrigerator/freezer, and cooking supplies to make your meal prep easy. Bedroom has Queen bed; Loft has Queen mattress and Twin. Washer/dryer handy by bathroom. Walk-in shower features bench and grab bar. Ladder to loft is steep but carpeted and secure with rail.

The Rustic Hideaway

Enjoy the historic Town of Philipsburg while hiding out in this cozy cabin located just off Broadway (the main road in town). The cabin is perfect for couples but can sleep up to 4 people. On the main level you will find a king bed that can be converted to 2 twins, a mini-kitchen with a small fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dishes, also a full size bathroom. Climb the ladder to the loft to find two twin beds perfect for older children and extra guests. Dogs are allowed for a fee.

Situated between Glacier and Yellowstone national parks, this quaint rustic cabin is located in the small hamlet of southern Hall just off I-90 and 10min from Philipsburg. The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably, and was built by homesteader Carl Cassidy in the early 1980's. His skillful primitive aesthetic and use of recycled materials gives the cabin a feeling it was built in the 1880's.
