Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Altenau

We felt super comfortable. The house is very quiet in a narrow side street. All photos correspond to the circumstances. Communication with the owner was always friendly and easy. All agreements worked wonderfully. There were times when there were 7 of us there and the kitchen was also sufficiently equipped with everything you need. There were really sharp knives☺️👍. The kitchen and dining area is tasteful, modern and lovingly furnished and was our favorite area to stay. The 2nd kitchen is located on the top floor, where the bedrooms are also located. You have to climb 2 steeper stairs to get there. However, there is also the sofa bed in the living room on the ground floor. The bathrooms are also modern and large, and on the ground floor there is a cozy, warm infrared cabin👍. Overall, a successful stay for us☺️

Everything went well! Communication with Liane was super friendly and straightforward. The apartment is very nicely decorated – you feel right at home. Clear recommendation!

We felt comfortable in the accommodation of Almut and Rüdiger from the beginning! The house was much better equipped than expected (kitchen utensils, toys, etc.) and really nothing was missing. The two are wonderful hosts and were extraordinarily flexible and helpful, especially when checking in and out. For our family reunion with 7 adults and 2 kids the house was perfect and the value was more than good. We will be happy to come back!

If you want to be on your own, this is the place to be. For the arrival, just follow Mareike's instructions, then it will work great! You can reach many shopping facilities in 5 minutes by car. They were really relaxing days! Only the TV reception was poor to non-existent due to the covered satellite dish - but hey, in the beautiful area, it's only a disadvantage in the dark :)

We were already guests at Tasja's last year and were happy to come back. This time the stay was even more pleasant - especially the significantly improved cleanliness surprised us positively. The accommodation is cozy, quiet and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Tasja is a friendly and helpful host who responds quickly to questions or requests. Nice place and Till was very friendly, helpful, and communicative. Clean and kitchen is stocked with everything 1-2 people need in terms of cookware, cutlery, etc. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing location within short driving distance of many good hiking paths in the Harz. We were there as a group with 3 toddlers and had a great time! The playroom delighted the little ones, as did the selection of toys. Otherwise, the cottage with the ambiance invited us to cozy evenings. Directly behind the garden was the ski meadow, which also pleased our four-legged friend. Furthermore, Anna was super accessible as a host, both with questions in advance and during the time on site. Anna also always proactively shared all the necessary information. We felt very comfortable.

I visited Tanja's accommodation for the second time and found my positive impression of the first visit completely confirmed. A beautiful and new furnished apartment with a separate entrance, nothing is missing and everything works perfectly. Again, the apartment was sparkling clean upon our arrival. Because of the beautiful May weather, we were also able to use the small seat in front of the house this time. This is spoiled by the sun almost all day, you have a view into the garden, and it is just as wonderfully quiet there as in the house. As the first time, Tanja responded very quickly and kindly to all requests. We felt very comfortable in the apartment 24/7 and highly recommend both the accommodation and the hostess! Very important: You are very quickly in nature from the house, and this is simply fantastic in the sunny Harz foothills in May.

We had a great weekend in this cozy accommodation with a fantastic view! Mark was very friendly and helpful. He answered our questions quickly and even allowed us to check in earlier, which we greatly appreciated. The accommodation is small, but very cozy and perfect for a short vacation. The summer toboggan run can be easily reached on foot. It was also very convenient that each bedroom had its own bathroom. However, the hot water was sometimes used up quickly, so we could not all shower at the same time. Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the weather and it was quite cold, so we were glad that the heaters were on, really great! Nearby is the Pizzeria La Capri, which we highly recommend! Although it is a bit more expensive, the food (we had pizza and steak) was worth every penny. All in all, we had a great weekend and can only recommend the accommodation!

We had a great time in Heudeber and felt at home throughout. Henry and Marie were very friendly and helpful hosts, communication always went smoothly. The apartment and garden were very cozy and child-friendly. We were able to take good care of ourselves and had everything we needed. Our hosts had great tips about the area. From Heudeber, you can travel the Harz very well. I highly recommend the apartment, especially for families with small children! We will be happy to come back sometime!

We are full of satisfaction with the space. We had lots of space everywhere. Andrea kindly greeted us at the garden gate. Darlingerode is a good place to take tours in the Harz. Darlingerode is easily accessible by public transport. The guest card can be used as a bus ticket. The Gasthof Gemedekrug in Drübeck is also recommended.

Super nice stay for 10 days. Frank took a short walk in the garden every day without intruding. You can ask about anything, and he was very accommodating. We had no problems, but I am convinced that he would solve them. His dog is friendly and calm. A very nice stay in a secluded area. We'd love to come again. Birthe and Bjarne Jensen

Stayed here with my group of friends and we all absolutely loved this place. Great location, good parking. Place was really clean and great interior. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, would definitely stay again. No complaints

Great cozy place to stay. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the holiday very much. A few small things are improving/repairing, but it is taken care of. We will be happy to come back.

We spent an extended weekend in the Harz (Schierke). In fantastic weather, starting from our accommodation, we were able to hike on the Brocken. The resort leaves nothing to be desired and we have been able to enjoy a wonderful break. We will be happy to come back!

Beautiful, cozy retreat after strenuous hikes. Particularly beautiful was the lovingly landscaped garden, which is equipped with several places to stay. The house does not leave any wishes open including great views of the valley.

We loved our stay in Torfhaus. The house was well located and in beautiful surroundings. The area was perfect for our walks. The house was exactly as pictured; Cozy, clean, well decorated with great amenities. We had a great time! Only small downside was that the beds were very hard. They were nice, clean, and tidy, but unfortunately we didn't sleep very well because of the hardness. However, we enjoyed our stay and really enjoyed both the house and area.
