Enjoy the cool vibe at this unique rustic getaway tucked back on a tree-lined hill 5 minutes above City of La Mesa Village, 20 minutes from downtown San Diego. The studio is on the ground floor of our two-story house. We live on the 2nd floor, and the studio is it's own completely private space. 5 miles to San Diego State University; 16-20 miles to San Diego beaches; 10 miles to Downtown San Diego; 15 miles to Sea World San Diego; and 13 miles to the World Famous San Diego Zoo!

Red Tail Ranch

A custom Log Cabin, perched on top of 15 acres located just outside of Ramona.You have an open-air experience while still having all necessary amenities to feel at home.Step outside and be surrounded by green, rolling hills and tall trees.Interact with animals, and enjoy the outdoors.Evenings you can retreat inside, sit by the cozy fireplace, play a game of pool, or go sit under the stars . Back Country Retreat is nestled under oak trees and surrounded by a natural rock setting. You will be greeted with several flower gardens. The retreat has a lovely flagstone patio with outdoor gas firepit and custom cedar bar. Pine Valley has clear night skies with no light pollution. You will feel right at home in this quiet neighborhood with access to the Cleveland National Forest for hiking, biking or birding. Owners live on the same property, so you may see them.

More like a national park than a home, we've found that guests enjoy the pace and peaceful surroundings and spend most of their visit without leaving. That being said, if you're feeling more exploratory, there are many options within a short drive including hiking, wine tasting, horseback riding, fishing, and even sky-diving.

We welcome all races, nationalities, cultures and fur babies. Perfect place for a long term stay. We take extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Smoking is permitted outside only. We welcome your well behaved fur babies. Max 3, Boarding $30 a day for each fur baby paid directly to host. Private, secluded Jacuzzi. Daily use fee $30 paid directly to host.
