Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Alleghany County

This was such a perfect, peaceful spot! We were in for the Jackson Scenic River Trail Marathon and couldn’t have stayed at a better place. The trail was a short drive away, so it was very convenient. The cabin had a relaxing patio, and we enjoyed the scenery outside under the roof while it rained. Gorgeous! Thanks for having us!

Ashley and John were superior hosts and their cabin was exactly what we expected as our family celebrated a college graduation in Lexington, about 25 minutes away. Cozy and thoughtfully-appointed, their home was super clean it served our ends ideally, including cooking some steaks on the grill outside! The TV enabled us to check in on playpff basketball too. All in all a great stay! Thanks guys.

It was a great cabin situated on top of the hill. It has everything you need to live and feel at home. My daughter loved the record player and the collection. It has a printer and internet was good. The view from the porch is beautiful. The only issue is that it was hard to find the property. The cabin is not on the midland trail road, but on a unpaved gravel road which is parallel to the midland trail. Apparently, it was the old midland trail road before the new one was laid. The property is on top of the unpaved road and it has two columns identifying the property. Once we pull into the driveway between the columns, it goes all the way in and then you will find the house.

We had a great stay at Craig's Creek! Dayna was very responsive with any questions we had. The home was extremely clean, well stocked and pet friendly! It was rainy during our stay which made our hike at Roaring Run exciting and beautiful as the water was gushing! Overall top notch stay! Thanks!

Our son lives in Covington and we were looking for a large home to rent for Easter weekend with all the family. Found Glen Haven and were impressed. Location is easy...15 minutes from Covington. Area is beautiful and peaceful. The property is fantastic with plenty of space of walking, running, exploring. The house itself is historic (1832!) with loads of character and unique style. The entire space is on one floor (we had elderly people with us so this was very helpful). 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 with showers, 1 with bathtub only). Kitchen has most amenities needed. Stove is gas (preferred by me) and lots of glassware and plates, silverware. It does need some steak knives or similar. We couldn't find a chef's knife or steak knife but went to Walmart and got one. Lots of supplies (tp, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher detergent) and very nice to have a coffee station with coffee and sugar on site. Also, good shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and plenty of towels in bathrooms. Love!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The house was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as pictured. The surrounding area was peaceful and full of natural beauty—perfect for relaxing and unwinding with friends. It truly felt like a retreat. We loved how quiet and serene the location was, yet it still had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, nature-filled escape. Would definitely come back!

Patricia's response was quick and kind in all our questions. The location was very accommodating for where all we wanted to travel and do. There were a few things I would change to make it an even better stay but it was great!

We had a wonderful stay in Jane's AirB&B. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable.

Great spot close to downtown and local attractions. We walked and hiked everywhere. Lots do to on the area as far as cycling, rafting and hiking. Mountains are gorgeous Pat was very responsive and friendly.

Another wonderful stay at Jon and Laurie’s!! Fabulous hosts! Very responsive and helpful! The Evergreen Inn is in the perfect spot!! Highly recommend staying there!! We’ll be back…AGAIN!! 💕💕💕

Really well renovated older house that is broken into several separate apartments. Walking distance to greenway trail & Jackson River outfitters. Comfortable beds with well appointed kitchen.

Pretty much as described. Was there for Memorial Day weekend, things were a little noisy in the hood because of festivities. But a great experience, everything in town is a short walk away.

I very much enjoyed my night at Evergreen Inn. Jon and Laurie were very accommodating and were willing to go the extra mile to make me feel at home. The room was better than described and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Recommendations on local restaurants was spot on. The room, bathroom and everything I could see was clean and well appointed. i If you're in Covington you can't go wrong!

Bobby’s place is an incredible find right on the Jackson River! We were in the area for a family reunion holiday weekend and the cabin was just what we needed for a home away from home. The area is quiet, absolutely beautiful and the cabin was very clean, had a very comfortable living room, and the beds were super comfortable. Thank you Bobby!

This cabin was perfect for our needs. The home was very inviting and included towels/soap/other needs which I was not expecting and was a nice surprise. The neighbors dog was also a pleasant visitor that we adored. The cabin was very clean, and Nicolette was kind enough to turn on the a/c before our arrival.
