Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Alentejo

A nossa estadia foi bastante proveitosa, o condomínio é muito bonito e tal igual apresentado nas fotográfias, tudo limpinho e organizado, tem vista para o mar, e muitas praias nas proximidades. Eu e minha esposa gostamos muito e voltaremos algum dia.

We stayed in this rental for 6 days and it was lovely. Very cozy and welcoming with natural light and wood flooring. It was located near many local coffee shops which we loved and a bus stop less than 10 minutes. It is situated on a hill but we made it work even with my 1 year old son and stroller. At first glance you may be intimidated because it’s located in an alleyway but we never felt endangered. Neighbors always kept to themselves and were polite and I saw multiple women walking dogs alone or pushing strollers so don’t let appearances fool you. We would recommend this place to any small family or couple looking for a cozy home to stay in.

Siamo stati molto bene in questa casetta, è comoda e pulita, in una zona molto tranquilla. Alexandra è stata gentilissima, ci siamo sentiti benvenuti. Per una famiglia come noi, con due figli è ideale.

My husband and I stayed here with our 19 month old son, and it was wonderful. We really loved the space and the amenities were a huge bonus. Other reviews speak to the area being a bit unsafe and it did feel slightly unsafe late at night but we were never worried. The team was very responsive and the location was good. Lots of walkable restaurants. My only suggestion is to uber/taxi from the airport. Coming from NYC, we always use public transportation and it was a hard, uphill hike to the Airbnb with our bags. Would recommend.

We had the most amazing week in Etelvina’s apartment! Everything was exactly as described and the views were stunning! Yes there is some construction work happening across from the apartment but appears most of the construction is completed and it didn’t impact the stunning view or caused any noise disturbance. We had the best nights sleep in a really cool, calm and quiet bedroom and it’s great to have the option of either the fan or air conditioning (not they we used the AC once as the room is lovely and cool). The mattress is also great quality and the bed is huge! We had a wonderful stay and fabulous beaches and restaurants a moments stroll from the entrance. If you’re looking a more fast paced evening experience loads and bars 10 minutes down the road. We will definitely be back!

Eva’s apartment was an oasis of calm and the perfect place for a relaxing break. We stayed 5 nights and were so happy we booked! It’s so thoughtfully decorated with everything you can need. The welcome gifts on arrival were such a lovely touch too. It’s in a great location at the Marina of Lagos. It’s quiet with restaurants and bars all within walking distance, as well as a big supermarket. Eva’s local tips and guidebook were spot on and very helpful. Cannot recommend more highly and hope to come back one day!

We had a great time staying at Julie's apartment. It was a perfect size for our group of four adults and two kids. We particularly enjoyed hanging out on the terrace in the evenings and being able to go to the Jardim do Estrela right next door!

The apartment was exactly as pictured—modern, clean, and comfortable with beautiful views. The location was walkable, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. We appreciated the responsiveness of the host and the thoughtful welcome gift—it was a lovely touch! The recommendations provided were appreciated. That said, there were a couple of things that could be improved. Directions to the apartment were a bit tricky to follow, and the 6 PM check-in time felt quite late compared to my experiences over 8 years of staying in Airbnbs around the world. We were surprised to find that some necessities weren’t provided. For a 3-night stay with 4 guests, only 4 coffee pods and a few mismatched tea bags were available, which seemed more like leftovers than intentional provisions. There were also no paper towels or basic cooking staples (beyond salt and pepper). Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but a few small improvements could make the experience even better.

Spent a week at vanessa’s apartment. We absolutely loved it! It was so spacious and clean and literally had everything you could need. Vanessa checked us in and showed us around, she was so friendly and helpful with lots of recommendations. It was about a 20 min walk and less than a 5 minute uber from the old town. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend😃

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Paulo reagiert innerhalb kurzer Zeit und ist freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die komplette Anlage macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können diese Anlage und Wohnung zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank

The apartment is perfect for a visit to Lisbon in the summer. Having access to the pool after the long hilly walks makes it a great place to stay. The apartment was well located to walk for food/drink etc . It is up a hill but so is most of Lisbon. Apartment had everything we needed and Natacha was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay here, the apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. August and Teresa were fantastic hosts making sure we were okay and gave us recommendations. The pool was a real bonus, especially on warm days and when the beaches were busy. It’s also in a great location for exploring the area, with easy access to both Lisbon and Cascais. Would happily recommend!

Die Unterkunft und der Komplex ist genial. Durch Zugänge von der Straße sicher gesperrt, schöner Ausblick über den infinity Pool. Zwei Terrassen (eine sonnige und eine schattige für schöne Mittags und Abendstunden 😁) Alles vorhanden was benötigt wird und Liv & Miguel sind erreichbar und antworten sehr schnell auf Nachrichten. Informationen über Lokalitäten sind auch vorhanden und schön aufgebaut. Toll gerne wieder

This was our last stop in our 2 week journey through Portugal. It was a quick 10 min ride to the airport in the morning to catch our early flight. The unit was luxurious and the value is great. It would be an arm and a leg in the US. Train is a quick ride into old Lisbon. Host provided clear instructions. The parking garage was a big plus for our rental. Took a nice stroll to the soccer stadium and kids enjoyed the park in the building grounds.

We had an amazing stay at Julia’s place! The view alone is worth the stay. It’s very quiet, comfortable and just up the street from old town. Great restaurants and coffee and beaches within walking distance. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Ericeira this is the place!

The home was exactly like the picture. Lots of space for our needs. Fit 7 people easy. Easy to get to restaurants with uber or a car. Host was great to meet us and explain the area.

Lovely stay, even lovelier host. Super friendly and responsive, and even sent a list of local recommendations for everything one could possibly need during a holiday. Would love to come back as it was such a special home and held spectacular views. Gorgeous vibes 🫶🏻🙏🏻

We travel with our family every three years. This year was Portugal. We spent one week in the Algarve at Steve’s home. The home was perfect for eight adults, four children and two infants. The house had a great layout for a big family. The pool was wonderful so relaxing every afternoon to come back and swim. Steve and Nathalie were great house. Great recommendations for food and activities, including car rental rentals. If we come back to Portugal, we would stay here again thank you for a fantastic holiday home.

Had the most amazing holiday with friends. Villa was beautiful, if possible better than the photos! You do need a car to get around though or need to be happy to pay for taxis to get around which is also easy to do ☺️

We were 12 people who came together (ranging from 3- 89 years old), from across the globe and we all had a wonderful stay. It was perfect. The areas (inside and out) were large enough for us to gather together as a group, and the house was spacious enough that people could retreat to their room or area should they want to break away for some alone time. We cooked big dinners, spent hours in the pool, and played games at night. The grounds were private, filled with beautiful bougainvillea, geraniums, and hibiscus plants. There is plenty of sun and shade (outside) and ACs in the bedrooms. I would say the pictures don't do the home justice. The rooms are larger in person. The hosts were readily available to help with finding things in the home or with recommendations for things to do in the area.

Carla heeft een ware oase gecreëerd. Vanaf het moment van aankomst voelde we ons meteen thuis. Het huis voldeed aan al onze verwachtingen en de tuin zorgde voor het totaalplaatje. Zeer mooi gelegen in een bergachtig gebied met vele wandelmogelijkheden maar toch dichtbij de stad Portalegre. Ideaal! Wij keren graag nog eens terug.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. The house is stunningly designed. We especially loved the huge windows with stunning views of the garden. The towels and bed sheets were of amazing quality, the kitchen was fully equipped, the TV projector was amazing and the fact that the garden is so huge you that can go for a walk in it is mindblowing! And even though the weather wasn't sunny, the low clouds added a cozy atmosphere that made our stay feel even more special. Dinis was always responsive and available to answer any questions. The only thing was that while the listing mentioned parking on premises, it wasn’t available for us during our stay. This led us to park on the narrow, bumpy street outside. However, this was a minor inconvenience, and it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our time here. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend this place!

plus que parfait, dommage que la barrière de la langue nous ai empêché de communiquer davantage. c'est un endroit magnifique on voit que ces hôtes veulent rendre notre séjour agréable, ils sont généreux on le voit aux attentions et aux aménagements de l'environnement. vraiment c'est la première fois que nous avons un airbnb de cette qualité. BRAVO!!!
