Apartment holiday rentals in Alamar

This was my third vacation to La Habana and I brought a friend with me to experience the culture of Havana. I selected this Maylin’s place based on the reviews and knew it was a very desirable location. I would agree with the reviews that I read regarding Maylin’s place and really enjoyed our 9 day stay. Javier and Ivis are the onsite hosts were very kind and quick to respond to any questions or concerns – I couldn’t have asked for better attention. I communicated with google translate with no problem. It is an incredible location and the balcony overlooking Plaza Vieja that can’t be beat. You can see locals going about their daily lifes and the sounds of live Cuban music from the restaurants around the Plaza. Make sure to have your phone “unlocked” before arriving and get a Cuban SIM for connection. I hope to stay here again. Any problems we experienced are normal in Cuba and are not exclusive to this place and should not reflect negatively on our wonderful hosts.

This apartment was very centrally located in Old Havana. It was also very clean. My only reservation is the size of the apartment, though well laid out, is small (price to size comparison). Also, watch your head when climbing the stairs you can easily hit your head. Lastly the immediate area is a little dirty but this is not their responsibility…

The stay was wonderful! The service was incredible from the beginning, always with quick, complete answers that helped us. The apartment is comfortable, has air conditioning in the bedroom, is close to cafes, restaurants, well-known squares, downtown Havana. And the highlight was Leysa, who helped us with absolutely EVERYTHING we needed and in a super kind way. As it was our first time in Cuba, we were not familiar with some of the local dynamics, such as shopping, money exchange, etc. I highly recommend this apartment!

We loved our stay at Melvis' place in Old Havana. The apartment was very beautiful, cozy and comfortable (just like the pictures) and the hosts were absolutely wonderful. It was very easy to communicate with Melvis prior to our arrival. She offered help figuring things out when in Havana. We were greeted by Claudia, who made us feel right at home and provided lots of great recommendations and tips. It was our first time in Havana and we do not speak Spanish, it would have been difficult if not for Claudia to figure things out. Claudia helped us so much and she also took time to talk about the history and life in Cuba. Home made breakfast was beautiful, fresh, and super tasty. Thank you, Claudia! It was wonderful to meet you!

Javier's place is clean and had all of the amenities we needed during our 4 night stay. The building's condition was average in the developing neighborhood of Vedado that's very close to the Malecon with spectacular sunsets. There are delicious restaurants in a walkable distance, and the Caribbean Sea can be seen to the left and Revolutionary Square to the right from the skyline balcony. Javier's team of hosts, tour guides, and taxi drivers took care of us throughout our stay, especially Eduardo who took us on a day trips to Old Havana, Saturn Cave, Mantanzas, and Veradado Beach. Great people and location in Havana!

Lindy was very kind, askanle taxi. you can also take a bus when leaving the airport crossing the street on the right to get there. nosó buen Cambio (dollar), nos spoke de los Corte de luz programados. para que Considerlo. buen habanos was very friendly and gave us ease for a shared taxi to Varadero. i missed a Cuban coin, no more let me recommend a tour that we take, number five 3 five 4 ten 73 nine 1 Leo de civitatis (price them outside) the best I did in Havana.

Once again we stayed at Emilio’s place and his apartment manager Nidia was very helpful with everything. We had some flight issues which caused us to change check in times multiple times, and Nidia was very accommodating. She even set up transport to and from the airport. I would tell anyone to rent the unit when in Havana

The place is very nice and the hostess is very kind and wiling to help with everything you need. I hope to return soon and I will recommend it to all my friends.

This apartment is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. The design is spectacular with brand new high end finishes and furniture. It has triple exposures, 2 balconies and probably one of the best views of Havana. Also the service is like a 5 star hotel, only better. Excellent price/ value and highly recommended.

Recommended 100%, excellent attention to its host, very comfortable, comfortable and clean apartment, very good communication with transportation for both the town, the beaches and the city, close to places with very good references to eat and shop. Overall a good flat to meet.

A pearl in the city. I’ve stayed here many times and always appreciated the comfort, cleanliness, and high-quality amenities—something rare in Cuba. The apartment stands out with its modern design, strong air conditioning (2 split units), blackout bedroom, high-pressure shower (with pump), modern washer/dryer, large smart TV, and remote-controlled ambient lighting in the bedroom. Everything is thoughtfully arranged and well maintained. The location is vibrant and very central—just steps from the boulevard shopping street, Central Park, and public transport, including buses to the beach. That centrality also means lively street sounds and occasional noise from neighbors in the building. This adds to the city’s charm, though light sleepers may prefer something quieter. Still, it remains an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort, style, and warm, attentive hospitality in the heart of Havana.

Andres home felt my home away from home. From the coziness to the spaciousness of this home I would highly recommend staying here on your visit to Cuba. Not far at all from all the main attractions beautiful Cuba has to offer. I was greeted by host and was assisted with my bags. Andres also offer airport pickup as an option by amazing driver Charlie. My first visit to Cuba was truly enhanced by this experience and would definitely return back to this hidden gem.

One of the best stays I’ve had in central Cuba. This property was top tier and had the right Wi-Fi speed for work. The rooms were well cleaned and comfy. Thanks to my Host for making sure my stay was “Home away from home”. I will be back!

Simply spectacular! Wow! The pictures don’t do this place justice. As soon as you walk in you are overtaken by the size- it’s huge! At some moments it feels like you’re in a labyrinth and in disbelief that, “wait, there’s more?” This house is a historic structure that has carefully and pristinely maintained. The level of cleanliness and comfort have exceeded 98% of the Airbnbs (and yes, in the US) that we have stayed in (and we have stayed in really nice places). I failed to ask where the mattresses are from, but they feel as if they were intended for royalty. The decor, furniture, flooring, ceiling… everything is perfect. This could easily serve and be described as a mini museum that you get to sleep in. Cary and Felix are exceptional hosts. Words are not enough to express our gratitude for the experience we had in this beautiful apartment! The apartment itself gorgeous, very spacious and extremely well decorated. We loved every detail! There were terraces and views in every direction! Breakfast on the terrace upstairs every morning was delicious and stunning! And pool was wonderful for our tired bodies and feet that danced all day and night. And July, our host was absolutely the best!!!! He was so sweet, helpful and accommodating!! We will be back for sure!!

One of the best airbnb's we ever had! Perfect location, nice restaurants and shops closeby and very close to the centre of Havana. The appartment is perfect, lots of space, great wifi, big kitchen with espresso machine! The best is the rooftop with different terraces where you can relax in the jacuzzi and sit comfortable during day and night with a drink and nice view of the sea and the city! Yoanne and Azaray are the best, they are always available for help and tips. We will come back for sure!

Amazing space! KC took care of us from start to finish from ordering us taxes, find good rates for us and just being available for any mishap we experienced. She was super accommodating and responsive to any question or request we had. Our breakfast was wonderful everyday we had it ordered. Book the space if you’re unsure of how to navigate Havana, she will handle it!
