Spacious and warm cottage with amazing views of the farmland from the window. Just like the photos. It had everything that we needed. We look forward to returning one day.

Nice house in a quiet area surrounded by nature and animals, ideal to disconnect and also in turn to know different important cities of Belgium. Also located in an important point of history, close to the waterloo battlefield.

Beautiful house, easily accessible and a friendly host.

Catherine is a very pleasant host. She took the time to explain to us how the house works and especially all the possible activities in the surroundings. The house and garden are great, consistent with the descriptions. The village is very peaceful, the walks around varied. A small but significant plus: the windows of the house are equipped with mosquito nets!!

Nice stay in Pod. Everything is well taken care of down to the last detail. Refrigerator with drinks was very nice.

We had a great time. The host responded directly and kindly to our questions. Super clean and beds well made. Great garden. Certainly suitable for young families with a baby. Small feedback points: for more reactive dogs, the open view of the chickens and turkey is quite difficult, and due to the lack of a door in the attic, the cottage is suitable for 4 adults in our opinion. But otherwise, hats off to all the other facilities.

We rented Liesbeth's house with the idea of making it our "base camp" for 2-3 days of cycling in the East of Belgium. And in fact, we couldn't have chosen better: the house, the result of a very successful renovation, is extremely pleasant. It creates an atmosphere that is both modern and a little Scandinavian. It is bright, very well equipped and, for four, perfectly comfortable (two double bedrooms, each with their sink and shower). It has a splendid view, and the outdoor spaces are very pleasant. Finally, it is possible to store your bikes inside a small enclosed courtyard. Perfect! Beyond that, the house has a privileged location for lovers of hiking or - like us - bike rides. First, the Vennbahn is literally two pedal strokes away; but there are infinitely more possibilities, towards the Hautes-Fagnes, towards the lake of Butgenbach and the Eiffel or towards Malmédy or towards Amblève. A dream.

Beautiful, charming, comfortable, clean, well equipped home. Abundance of cooking supplies, linens/towels, etc. Toys for children were also very much enjoyed! Local butcher shop and bakery were delightful. Large grocery shop 10-15 mins away, easy trip. Sebastian was extremely helpful and communicative, we had many questions leading up to and throughout our long journey from home. We appreciated his kindness and hospitality, and hope to return to this peaceful place one day. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time in Hayen with our family. The house is cozily furnished, well maintained and offers all the comfort you need. The location is very quiet, so you can completely relax, and the garden is a beautiful place to sit together, eat or just enjoy the surroundings. Everything was in order upon arrival, and communication with the host was smooth and friendly. An absolute must for families or families looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful and quiet environment.

Great impromptu stay. Impeccable, simple and warm accommodation. Very suitable for children. Fresh eggs and pets are a major asset, especially with children. The sauna and games area is another. Lots to discover in the area at +or- 1h. Host recommendations are top notch. We would recommend.

This gem was really worth discovering. Very nice Tiny house with jacuzzi and garden with wonderful view of nature. Slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying yourself are so easy here. Very nice host, quick responses, friendly reception, everything great! We had breakfast there, which was certainly more than enough for us. The only thing we as coffee lovers missed was a coffee machine. Instant coffee is provided, but if we had known, we would have just brought our Dolce Gusto 😅 We have already advised friends and family to save this address.

We (2 adults and a young baby) have just spent a week or so at Anne-Mie's place. The Oude Ovenbuur is situated on a lovely farm on the edge of town. It is brilliantly located to explore the area on a family cycling holiday and was more than spacious enough for what we required. Anne-Mie's place had everything we required to be fully self-catering and our young son loved the farm donkeys and chickens. Thanks. We hope to visit again.

Great accommodation. Everything was impeccable. Like home with good bedding. Very quiet environment and landscape in front of the beautiful house ;) We recommend it to everyone!

We needed few days away from the city, and the place was just perfect. We had a kid with us, and he enjoyed the surroundings as well. If you are an active person, there are great trails nearby. Neighbouring cities are just as amazing as the place itself. The hosts were helpful and friendly. Would love to come back.

What a wonderful stay! Our jaws dropped in amazement when we entered the house. Each room was a new surprise, finished to perfection and furnished with an eye for detail. Everything was crisp, warm and stylish – really a place where you feel right at home. I celebrated my birthday weekend with my children, and it was truly wonderful. The common areas are spacious and open, and each bedroom has its own bathroom – super convenient and comfortable. Communication with Vanessa was smooth and clear, right from the start. She quickly answered our questions and even helped with the reservation of the kayaks. Really great! The area is wonderfully quiet, perfect for relaxing, and there are beautiful walks nearby. Highly recommended – we enjoyed a fantastic weekend. Thank you, Vanessa!

Very nice accommodation to spend a calm weekend with a big group. Clean and spacious with everything needed, beautifiul environment and calm.

The cottage is very large! Very well equipped to cook. The land is very well laid out with an exceptional landscape. The terrace is very well equipped (outdoor furniture and lounge chair for relaxing). Flémalle does not have a particular charm, but the city has the advantage of being located only 50 minutes from Brussels airport and 45 minutes from Namur. It was a welcome stop for a rest before returning to Canada (Quebec). Special feature: the house's decoration dates from the late 90s or early 2000s. If you like this era, it has its charm; everything is very clean and functional.
