Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Beautiful villa, very quiet and peaceful, the pool is really very appreciable especially when it's hot as it was (34°C), the air conditioning of the house is also very appreciable, all the comfort of this house, the layout and the equipment are great. I recommend without hesitation, go to recharge or spend a romantic weekend in this beautiful villa. Thanks to Axel for his responsiveness and concern about whether everything is going well.

Great stay in Chassiers. The accommodation was very nice, totally independent, tastefully renovated, clean and comfortable despite its simplicity. The environment is very quiet (we even hear the frogs in the evening) and Chantal received us with kindness and trust.

We had a wonderful stay at Bleu Châtaigne. The region is full of things to see and do and Bérengère's accommodation, very nicely decorated and perfectly equipped, was the ideal base to discover it. In addition, Bérengère is a very welcoming host and has very good recommendations for visiting and enjoying the area. Thank you again and we hope to be able to come back next time 😊

We had a very good week at Jocelyne's place. Jocelyne is very welcoming, anticipates needs and is very responsive. The accommodation is well arranged, and very well located for visiting the Ardèche from the center and south. Although it is not air conditioned, we did not suffer from the heat. Also, on Jocelyne's advice we went to the more mountainous part during the heatwave days; the temperature difference was welcome. The characterful villages of the area (including Vinezac) are superb. We would recommend it without restriction.

Very good stay in a quiet and pleasant natural environment! House perfectly matches the description and very spacious despite the fact that there are 11 of us sleeping there. Well-equipped and close to activities to do in the area. We therefore strongly recommend that you contact Bastien, a responsive and attentive host.
