Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Vanuatu

This beautiful villa was perfect for our extended family to stay. The bedrooms were fully self contained and set apart giving us privacy and quiet when needed. The main room and deck were spacious, beautiful and such a lovely place to spend time together and relax. We were so happy during our week there and would re-book in a heartbeat.

This is the most beautiful airbnb we have ever stayed in. We swam with a dugong on our very first snorkel, ate meals on the beachfront deck with a fire burning if an evening and played card games on the verandah with a French wine in hand! We were actually in the house when the earthquake struck Vanuatu (Dec 2024) and it stood strong, we were soooooo well looked after by the estate security, and the cleaning and gardening staff, we never felt unsafe. It’s a very pretty, private and safe spot for a family or couple, I cannot recommend it highly enough!

This place was absolute paradise. We had the most amazing stay, and the most amazing host Paula. Paula arranged for a local mama to cook dinner for us and they even made us a home cooked cake for our honeymoon. We are so grateful for all of their hospitality and the memories we made on our honeymoon. We even saw two turtles right outside the air bnb. We can't wait to come back for our wedding anniversary!

Beautiful location on Aore Island. We had a Dugong and it's pup visit the beach out front one day. The reef just off the beach is really beautiful with lovely coral formations. There were bananas and papaya ripe in the beautiful gardens so we got to enjoy some fresh fruit during our stay. There were a couple of hiccups with broken things or things not working, however it's a very challenging environment being high humidity and close to the sea which is much harder on stuff so it's understandable, these issues were dealt with responsively and quickly by the hosts. Fiona was always quick to respond to any messages and helped to organize trips on the island etc. The house benefits from a lovely sea breeze a lot of the time which helps to keep you cool.

The Jetty is in a beautiful peaceful spot on the water in Surunda Bay. You will see picture perfect sunrises and you might even see a turle or two, if you look closely. The Jetty is well equipped and has everything you need. There is a couple of really great restaurants a few minutes drive away and close to most attractions on the East Coast. Robyn the host is very responsive and helpful. My husband and I have stayed here twice now and enjoyed our stay both times.

Venui Plantation is a beautiful spot - the snorkelling at the beach is amazing and the house is very comfortable. It’s hard to pull yourself away to go explore other parts of the island. Chris was super helpful as well

Absolutely lovely. The house had everything we needed, the views were beautiful and the kids loved playing in the pool.

Amazing stay! The house is amazing Rooms were super clean, huge and not too warm at night The kitchen and rest of the house were also awesome Outside garden deck etc. Are perfect Private beach Having your own beach, where the water taxi picks you up and drops you everyday as well as the little swing makes it IG worthy! And we used snorkeling gears and kayaks! We had a lovely lady, Naomi (not sure if the spelling sorry!) looking after us helping us book water taxi, taxis etc. She was great The neighbor We had the best time with the neighbor Michelle who kindly drove us to the resort for dinner one night and invited us for some drinks at hers two other nights! Had the best time! Three only small things to note: - There is no wifi so it’s not possible to work remotely - It’s not as easy as slated to find the house! Best way is to mention it’s the house next to Michelle’s! - Could not use the buggy, no big deal but fyi

What a find! The space overlooks Port Vila harbour and with a choice of seating, you can enjoy perfect sunset views. The space is clean, private and well laid out. But what stands out as much as the view is the friendliness and hospitality of Jane and her husband. Nothing is too much trouble. It’s like you’re staying with friends. We stayed over my birthday and Jane went out of her way to make it special. Thank you. Also, if you love dogs, they have four of the cutest and best behaved doggies.

Frank and Dee are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Great to chat with and can offer plenty of local recommendations. The Airbnb is clean, very spacious and well equipped for cooking if needed. Massive pool and views over the bay. Walk to the end of the road and then get local buses for the 5 minute trip into town, or call a local driver. We also did Frank’s off-road adventure buggy tour which was heaps of fun! 🤩

Everything positive that others have written about Carmen and her place is true. When you arrive in a new country, the best thing is to be greeted at the airport by a friendly face and taken to accommodation that has all of your needs catered for, right down to there being breakfast supplies… and that what we got from this Airbnb. We only stayed one night, so I can’t really comment on the location - although the taco restaurant up the road had some nice food. Thank you Carmen and Roger

Our second visit to Tom's place so we felt right at home instantly. Post earthquake, which literally demolished more than a few businesses in the town centre, we weren't sure what to expect but buses are running normally all the way up to Bon Marche #2 where you'll also find the Vodafone shop adjacent (you'll need ID to buy a local Sim card there) Manples Bon Marche, local produce market and the fish market opposite are in full swing. I found an enormous bundle of jalepino for 200vt and made fridge pickles. Mele is a great spot for families. safe swimming, beach walks, kayaking and snorkeling. Tom's beach bar holds the famous fire show every Friday, a sunset circus on Sundays and big screen movies on Tuesdays after dark. There's also delicious food available all day every day. my favorites being beer battered fish and chips, chicken curry, Torino pizza. Do try the Volcano ice cream, adult version!

Thank you so much to these two! They were very friendly and helped us find the place as well as the keys to open the Air BnB. They got us bread, butter, and water as a complimentary snack, which we greatly appreciated! The space was clean and suited us very well. She even offered for her son to drive us to the city, and he kindly did so. Highly recommend :)

It was not what we had pre-conceived it to be, but we loved it. It was at the end of a point with only 3 houses in maybe 30 acres of slashed grass area. There was surf on one side and a calmish inlet on the other. The surf is not really accessible because it is on coral, but the other side is very good for snorkeling. We had a clean, modern basically one room studio with the sound of surf to sleep by. Interaction with the young kids next door was great, and catching the bus into town was easy. Buses (Toyota HiAce people movers) come every few seconds and cost 150VATU per person. Have the correct change though.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Janet's. The communication was amazing and my husband and I felt right at home from the start. She was always happy to help organise anything that we wanted to do. We stayed for 10 days and it was so special getting to know some of the villagers as well. Highlights for us were sunsets and walks on the beach, snorkelling at Top Rock and Pele and doing weaving and making laplap with some local ladies. Janet's food was amazing and we loved the companionship of Janet's dog, Brownie. 100% recommend this as a wonderful place to stay. We will surely be visiting again.
