Lovely place where will make you feel like home. The house is clean and comfortable with the hot tub. Highly recommended for anyone who is coming to Faroe island

Vi har boet i huset i fem dage. Det var et rigtig fint hus. Hyggeligt indrettet. Meget gode senge. Det var et meget veludstyret køkken. Vi måtte bruge af krydderier, kaffe osv. Der var spil, bøger, blade og en stor kurv med futter og sokker 😃

Atli was a great host, the house is lovely, even better as on the pictures, very clean. Leynar is one of the most beautiful places in the Faroe Islands from my perspective and I can definitely recommend Atli as a host to everyone. He is also very kind as a person, can give recommendations where to go. Many thanks!

We were incredibly happy with our stay at Jórun's lovely boathouse. It's a calm and beautiful location only a short car ride from everything we wanted to explore. The house has all necessary amenities and more. The shoe dryer turned out to be more helpful than expected and a warm sauna after a day of exploring in the rain was very appreciated.

Highly recommend this place! It is peaceful and quiet with amazing views. The house is lovely - just as in the description and pictures - and Gunnar is a great host, very responsive and helpful. We loved the well supplied kitchen and hot tub on the deck. Also loved the wildlife - birds and sheep and, most importantly, newborn lambs - right outside the house! Great location - about midway between the airport and Torshavn and a perfect jumping off point for exploring all the islands. As mentioned, the walk up to the house could be difficult for those unable to walk up a steep grade but is fine for most. It was a perfect place for our week in the Faroe Islands.

First trip to Faroe Islands - wonderful welcome from our hosts with plenty of local tips. Great place to stay from which to travel all over the islands. Hot tub well used by us.

The central location in the islands made it an excellent base for exploring. Ragnhard welcomed us in person and gave us a thorough tour of the space. One very useful piece of information was a webcam site that allowed us to track weather across the islands, which was really important and helped guide us to which islands to explore and avoid some rain. There are few restaurant options nearby, but the Thai place within walking distance was very good, and the bakery in nearby Skala is worth a stop. The views from the apartment are absolutely amazing, and it was very peaceful and quiet. The space was very clean and well equipped. It was great to be able to do laundry while we were there. It was a really nice space to come 'home' to after a day of hiking and exploring. While we didn't have to take him up on it, Ragnhard was willing to let us check out a little late so we could get one last hike in. We highly recommend Ragnhard's home.

Ein absolutes Juwel – von Herzen empfehlenswert! Unser Aufenthalt in Marions Wohnung war einfach traumhaft. Die Lage ist fantastisch und die Aussicht kaum in Worte zu fassen – jeden Tag ein kleines Geschenk. Die Wohnung selbst war blitzsauber, wunderbar geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Liebe zum Detail gedacht wurde. Die Kommunikation mit Marion war durchweg angenehm und herzlich – schnelle Antworten, tolle Empfehlungen und ein echtes Gefühl von Willkommen-Sein. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können diesen besonderen Ort uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

So our flight to Faroe Islands never landed as the pilot couldn't see the runway due to thick fog and reverted back to Iceland, where we flew from. I texted the host - Inga and she was such a wonderful host that she refunded all the money that she would have gotten if we had occupied her place. This was unexpected and I'm beyond grateful for her generosity. I hope to visit Faroe Islands sometime soon in the future.

Flott beliggenhet rett over havnen, med utsikt til sjøen fra spisebordet. Rolige omgivelser og nærhet til det historiske sentrum i Torshavn. Vi reiste med et barn i barnehagealder og hele familien trivdes svært godt.

Vi havde et skønt ophold i Gunnvás bolig. Vi følte os virkelig hjemme i de dejlige, kunstneriske omgivelser. Tórshavn centrum var desuden indenfor gåafstand. Vi kommer gerne igen!

Three of us greatly enjoyed our stay in Hoyvík. The apartment was perfect and made a great base for exploring the Islands. If you want to visit Torshavn I would consider the bus as parking can be problematic during the day. However parking at the apartment was straightforward. The local eateries are also recommended.

Virkelig hyggelig og god lejlighed. Manglede ikke noget. God plads. Sød og imødekommende vært. Ro og fred. Kan anbefales Lugtede af færøsk mad/får ellers var alt super fint.

We had a wonderful stay in Torshavn in Litzie and Eydfinn‘s apartment. The apartment is very nice and in a perfect location to explore Torshavn by foot as well as for daytrips by car to the north of Steymoy or the other islands. Litzie was a perfect host. We had a warm welcome with a lot of recommendations. Thank you again for everything!

Excelente estancia, la casa era muy acogedora y ordenada, lo encontramos todo muy limpio. Estaba muy cerca del centro. Íbamos con bebé y Helgi nos ayudó en todo momento prestándonos una cuna y una trona.

If this are looking for a place to stay within walking distance to all the best of Torshavn and yet far enough outside the main areas where driving is stressful, look no further! The flat was spacious, clean, and felt like home for our family of 4. We loved the view (and the sheep) from the window and the cozy feel of the flat. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the beds in the primary room have position control so you can set the sleeping position of your choice. The area is very quiet yet close to restaurants and a grocery store. We especially appreciated access to the washer and dryer. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook meals and make morning coffee. My kids appreciated the roasted nuts and snacks, which were a nice touch but the host. The hosts were very responsive and quickly helped me gain entry after my husband accidentally took the key hiking!

Besides the name of the location building AOr B would be helpful- when it says located on first floor- I would think that is ground level, but it was not- so difficult to find and had to call. More descriptive in location. Place was great and clean- just what was needed.

Solva was a great host! Place was absolutely perfect for us and we could walk to everything in town. Solva was very helpful with recommendations and tips for things to do. We got to see a B36 game and that was definitely a highlight. Thank you Solva for a great stay! would definitely come back here.

We had a great stay in Anna-Maria's apartment. The apartment is very nice and we felt very comfortable. The location is great, close to the beach and the city center of Tórshavn is quickly accessible. Anna-Maria and her husband are really nice and always helpful. Absolute recommendation! We would love to come back!

Kerstin’s place was perfect for our stay in the Faroe Islands - very comfortable, had everything we needed, and walking distance to all the sites in Tórshavn. Kerstin was also extremely helpful and quick to respond if we had any questions. Would absolutely recommend her apartment to anyone visiting this beautiful place!

Maria's apartment was a perfect base for us sightseeing in the Faroe Islands. Situated on a quiet street in Tórshavn, with easy walking distances to supermarkets (2 markes within 1-2 blocks), shops, restaurants, harbor, parliament assembly, etc. The apartment was exactly like the photos. It was cozy and comfortable, and most importantly for me, it was spanking clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with newish looking appliances and we appreciated the in-unit washer. We slept very well as the bed was super comfy and the shower was really powerful! Trekking poles were provided, which was great for us hikers. Parking was outside on the street and spaces were always available. Maria was an amazing host - friendly, accommodating, immediate responses to all questions and requests asked. She was proactive with our pre-arrival - left the door opened so we needn’t have to fumble with keys and luggages when checking in. We would definitely stay at Maria's again and highly recommend it.
