Waterberg Hideaway

RitaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Waterberg Hideaway is an absolute gem. Gracious hosts, beautiful setting, friendly animals. Peace and tranquility. We thoroughly enjoyed the verandah and the amazing boma. We enjoyed walking on the property as well as the visit to the Marakele National Park. The cottage is a beautiful breakaway from the hustle and bustle of life. Sitting outside and just listening to the birds was wonderful. The stars and seeing the milky way was definitely a highlight of our trip. The kitchen is filled with everything one needs and the hot showers were very good. We loved every minute and look forward to returning to enjoy nature in this beautiful setting. The dogs and horses are all so welcoming and calming. Thank you so much.

Beestpoort Game Farm - Sable Hut

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Hardie and his family are fantastic hosts. It was difficult for us to get to the place because we chose a bad way from Google Maps and we did not expect it to be a dirt road with a water base. Anyway, they come to pick us up to arrive safely. The house was nice and clean and we were able to sleep very good with our little baby. The kitchen was very complete and we were able to prepare a wonderful breakfast. Before leaving we went for a walk and were able to see giraffes and antelopes. We would like to have more time to spend more days there. ;) Thank you Hardie, Estelle and Gabriel to host us and to be super gentle people. 🫶

Newburg Luxury Bush Tent 1

NaadirRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Such a vibe just outside of Johannesburg. We got lost getting through the last gate and realised that we took one wrong turn and ended up doing our own bush exploration. Danie was helpful and responsive. The place itself was a lovely experience. Probably the best glamping experience I’ve ever had. Cute outdoor shower but a bit impractical in winter (inside bathroom available as well). Basic culinary and braai equipment are provided. We found a boma not far from our tent when we were leaving. The tent was warm, well furnished and there was a separation “tent wall” for a bit of privacy. Bring your own oil, salt, pepper etc and your own hand soap. I’d recommend stocking up on everything before coming. There are daily maintenance staff to help tidy up. Very friendly and a nice touch. The views were gorgeous. The area was so peaceful and quiet. We saw water buffalo at some stage which was pretty awesome. 10/10 recommend

Modern Log Cabin close to Zebula & Mabula Lodges

Beautiful place to stay. Private and peaceful. Amazing to watch the animals whilst having your morning coffee. Didn’t use the fire pit but I’m sure it would make for a wonderful evening sipping wine and watching the sunset.

Caracal Game Breeders

MarzanneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house is beautiful, great taste in decor. We were able to relax, braai, play pool with the kids and enjoy the beautiful sunset while the sables were feeding basically on our stoep. The security was good with electric fencing, we felt safe. We also went for a walk which the kids enjoyed. The rooms all had their own bathroom, which was great, but the one room is a totally separate building to the main house. Would definitely recommend.

Aloe Lodge

JenniferRating, 5 stars13 months ago
Our stay at Aloe Lodge was amazing. It was beautifully surround by the bushveld and our dogs also loved it....their first experience in the Bushveld. Jan and Perri where very friendly and helpful and checked in on us to see if all is ok on a daily basis. Even when we almost ran out of firewood, Jan made a plan and the response time was amazing. The facilities were great, neat and clean and enough blankets to keep us warm during the chilly nights. I would just suggest that you bring along your own steak knives as the kitchen does not cater for these. Grootfontein is beautiful and unique. It was a great getaway to recharge. Thanks Jan and Perri for the stay, we loved it!

Sandstone Valley - Fairview (Waterberg/Limpopo)

HayleyRating, 5 stars26 months ago
What an incredible experience ! Wow !Wow ! Wow - we were completely blown away with this stunning lodge ! Visiting this lodge is an absolute must !!!!! It is in the most beautiful location, the views from the deck ( especially the sunsets) are breathtaking. The lodge itself is so stylishly decorated with everything you could want or need at your fingertips. Comfortably has space for 10 people ! The kitchen is equipped with everything a gourmet cook needs to whip up a great meal. The boma and braai area is a great place to unwind and enjoy a great evening with family and friends . But best of all is the farm itself , and Barry - who was an exceptional host and who welcomed us like family . We had a dinner party under the stars to celebrate our daughters 18th birthday and it was a weekend none of us will ever forget . We are already planning our next visit , and we have barely even gotten home.
