This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

We stayed 3 days and 4 nights, and it was a very enjoyable weekend. Isabelle is a really charming host and her house is just superb. The description was perfect and the tranquility of the Charente countryside was ideal for a weekend of rest, rejuvenating. The Nordic bath and the brazier were really the icing on the cake. We'll be back soon, thank you very much Isabelle!

Very nice accommodation, very clean, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. The terrace is lovely. Claire was very responsive to our requests.

We had a great Pentecost weekend, the accommodation is very nice and quiet. The sun was out, we were able to enjoy the pool. About 10 minutes from La Rochelle, by car. i would recommend this place

The stay went very well, the house is ideally located in the city center and allows you to do a lot on foot. The house is impeccable and very functional, with a barbecue and a small inner courtyard. The host was very welcoming and flexible with departure times. Just a small downside on the bed and house linen that is not included, for 3 or 4 beds it is not very practical and it adds a certain cost to the rental. I would recommend this house!

Very good stay at Angelique and Christophe's. The residence is very well located on the island and pedestrian access to the fleet is very fast. The accommodation is refurbished, very tasteful and the layout is functional. The bedding is great😊. Angelique is very responsive and attentive. I'll be back 😊

The apartment was totally renovated and impeccable. The location is very good and the host is always attentive and willing to help. Everything is very good. The only thing is, there's not much room for clothes if you're going for many days.
