My favourite local shop - a community shop and charity selling whole foods and organic produce and huge variety of herbs(biggest in london i think). Lots of yummy & healthy things here and lovely folk

An alternative to Food For All (Cazenove Road), bigger so more produce - most is organic and free range/ sustainable etc etc Bit pricey but nice (even to browse and try tasters :)

Another little, and different, very nearby. It is also a cemetery(!), full of very old graves, that are fun to read. Great for strolling through for some quiet time; it has a forest feel.

I love this park. It is probably the closest to the flat, about 7 mins walk. Its on a hill and leads down to the River Lea which is stunning to walk along, & Hackney Marshes. There is a cafe too.
