Parks & Nature

The park has recently been renovated and hosts a great little cafe that serves really good coffee and some snacks, pedal boats on the lake, good jogging loop and a playground. There is always a fresh breeze and it's great for LA people watching while you enjoy your coffee sitting on the grass under a beautiful tree.

Beautiful botanical garden and library/museum where you can spend a whole day and still be hungry to see more of it.

You look at it from the garden, it's very close and there is loads to explore. It has brilliant views over Downtown and on a clear day you can even see the coast.

You can hike up Cypress Park hill to get to this wonderful public park with lots of hiking trails, hidden in the hills with great views of the city.

I prefer this Trader Joe's to the slightly closer one on Hyperion Avenue. Parking is easier and it seems less crowded and also more spacious.
