Food Scene

This is a farm to table, market fresh restaurant. The menu changes with the seasons. If you've ever heard of the Israeli Chef Ottolenghi, this food is very similar. Gjelina gets packed so if you can't get a reservation, try going either early around 6pm or later around 9:30. The other option is, you can leave your phone number with the host and come back to the house for a fireside glass of wine while you wait for them to call.

Same chef as Gjelina. This is more of a deli type place, a great stop for lunch or breakfast. It's only a short 5 min walk from the house.

This restaurant is technically in Santa Monica but still only a short bike ride away. It’s rather new and, considering it’s not on Abbot Kinney, it’s a lot easier to get into. The food is fantastic and it’s a great place to go if you don’t have a reservation. Also, they have a great brunch menu. Try the french toast - it’s the best in the area!

Service is slow and rather odd. Food is expensive but the quality is superb. Traditional sushi and Japanese fare. Don't normally need a reservation here.

This is a cafe during the day and wine bar at night. They don't have a full kitchen here so the menu is limited. That said, good spot to stop for a sunset beer and snack.
