Beachfront holiday rentals in The Gambia

I cannot recommend About Time enough! The staff are incredible- they make you feel at home and are so helpful with booking tours around Gambia and ensuring you are comfortable. The report is right on the beach and is very relaxing. You can relax, or take trips out organised by the wonderful Manager; Kitabu. At About Time, the staff and locals love to educate you about Gambian culture which I loved and try Gambia cuisine. 10/10! Hope to return one day :) Elizabeth

Paddy is an amazing host, made me feel welcome and greeted me quite late after my flight was delayed. He is very friendly has very good recommendations and replies very quickly to any question! Dit was één van de heerlijkste vakanties ooit voor ons. Door Lain en de mensen terplaatse werden wij hartelijk onthaald, begeleid en konden we kennis maken met het leven zoals het is daar. Er werd met en in alle eenvoud alles aan gedaan om het ons zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken waardoor het voor ons als leven in een paradijs voelde. Bedankt allemaal voor de gastvrijheid, leuke uitstappen en leerrijke gesprekken. De heerlijke maaltijden, het kampvuur, het supporteren bij het strandvolleybal, de hulpvaardigheid, de schitterende humor, de rust, de aanwezige fauna en flora, ... de combinatie ervan bezorgde ons een onvergetelijk verblijf bij jullie. Wij komen terug!

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Kitabu, malgré notre arrivée tardive, il s'est montré très disponible et serviable. Il nous a donné de très bons conseils pour visiter la Gambie et nous a facilité à plusieurs reprises nos déplacements. Nous avons passé un très bon moment à l'écolodge, même si nous sommes restés qu'une nuit. Nous recommandons cet endroit +++

It was a pleasure to stay at the Nemasu Lodge together with my friends for a few days. We enjoyed the quietness and privacy of the accommodation. The nearby beach was clean and perfect to relax. We had booked rooms with sea view. The rooms come with a small terrace which is nice to hang around in the evening hours and enjoy the sunset. It was lovely to fall asleep with the sound of the waves. The staff was very helpful and friendly - Hillary was reachable to all times and gave helpful advice and recommendations. Toffe, rustige plaats om te logeren. Dichtbij zee. Alles netjes. Mooie locatie. Tof zwembad en vooral heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Van harte bedankt Musa en team! We hadden een heel mooie vakantie bij jullie 😎

Staying at Greg and Hilary’s place was a great Airbnb experience. Hilary and her staff made us feel welcome right from the start. The hut was spacious, light and clean and we really loved the hut’s African-style. This is what you hope to find when it comes to staying at an accomdation. Besides that, the location (the beach is just in front of the accomodation) is a great addition, everything is carefully looked after and the food (lunch and dinner) is very tasty. The place is also really really beautiful! The breakfast however could use some fruits free of charge (right now you can add a few options to your breakfast - bread with (peanut)butter or jam, tea/coffee and eggs - if you are willing to pay extra). Besides that, the WiFi didn’t work during our whole stay so we weren’t able to contact the host of our next accomodation nor could we check-in online for our flights. Despite this, the accomodation itself really made up for this, and in some way it actually felt kind of liberating to be offline for a few days. Thank you for everything!

just arrived back after staying at mandinka Lodge and will definitely return again. Always had hot water, clean bedding, and towels. helpful and friendly staff. very private and tranquil atmosphere. very close to the shops and a very short walk to the beach or a 5 minute drive. Diane and Lamin were helpful when needed and knowledgeable of the area and where to go. I'd definitely recommend staying if visiting Gambia

Highly recommended place, surrounded by nature, very quiet and beautiful. Everyone was very friendly, Amy, her children, the dogs and the little monkey. Near the house there is a very beautiful river where you can swim. They are developing a permaculture project with a lot of potential, we hope to return one day!

I recently stayed at this apartment in Gambia and had a fantastic experience. The space was spacious, well-equipped, and had everything needed to prepare your own meals. The highlight for me was the breathtaking ocean view and waking up to it every morning. There is a private pool which was a great addition and 24hrs security. The apartment is in a great location, just a short 2 mins walk from the beach, making it perfect for anyone wanting to unwind by the sea. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The host was incredibly attentive and quick to respond to any queries, which made the stay even more enjoyable. A cleaner also came by every other day to keep the apartment tidy, which was a nice bonus. I had a great experience and will be glad to stay again.

It was a pleasure to stay at Julia's! The place was just what we needed with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a great location! We would definitely stay here again!

Sehr nette Gastgeberin... Das Ferienhaus hat eine schöne Aussicht vom Balkon aus und man kann den Sonnenuntergang genießen... Es fehlt an nichts in der Unterkunft, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders nett war, daß wir später abschicken konnten... Vielen Dank dafür

I had an exceptional stay at this Airbnb! The place was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities listed accurately available. I felt very safe and secure throughout my stay. The view of the ocean was simply breathtaking. The host was not only professional but also incredibly kind, making the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!
