Holiday rentals in Terra Alta

We had a wonderful, though unfortunately far too short, stay in Ivan's beautiful house. Rarely do Airbnb accommodations look even better than in the photos, but with Ivan everything was just right. Since our airline had canceled the flight to Pico, we arrived much later than planned in the late evening, but Ivan was there for us the whole time via messages and greeted us incredibly warmly even after 10 pm and showed us his wonderful house, where a few homemade treats were already waiting for us. The sea view from the terrace is simply wonderful! Unfortunately, we were far too short on the island to spend more time there and follow more of Ivan's recommendations, but we will definitely come back and would then always want to stay here. Thank you for everything, dear Ivan!

No words can describe our experience at this amazing vila. It was absolutely amazing: the house itself is very well located, the views are stunning. Marcos and Diana were very helpful in everything we needed. Pico island is an amazing place on earth and to get to know the island like we did was only possible with this 5 star accommodation. We chilled, we had swims in the infinity pool, had great barbecues…I will be back for sure. Thanks to all the staff and especially to Marcos for all the hospitality and kindness.

Personally, Santo Amaro is my "happy place" at Pico and the Aldeia das Cagarras apartments are always a perfect place to stay. The apartments are furnished with good taste and so much love to the details (I loved how the colour concept was followed through even in the little details), the apartment offered a lot of space and quiet. The kitchenett was very helpful to have breakfast and prepare simple lunches/sandwiches etc (being an kitchenette and not a fully equipped kichten as stated in the description). The Aldeia das Cagarras team was so welcoming, warm and solution oriented whenever I contacted them. They are really superstars! And they were so accomodating and understanding when I had a little mishap with the coffee maker. Thank you for your empathy and kindness, you made me feel so very welcome. There is no question that I will try to get an apartment there when I am at Pico the next time. Thanks for everything and for making a special place even more special.

Spacious, well manicured and equipped house. Located in a quiet area, parish of Santo Amaro, near the sea. It has a nearby grocery/coffee shop, 5 minutes' walk away. Very communicative and helpful host, with great suggestions. We'll be back! 5 stars ☺️

We enjoyed the house and the large garden including outdoor kitchen and pool. We really appreciated the quiet location and the very good kitchen facilities. Everything was as described and communication worked well. All good thank you so much!

Ocean views for days...this place has a god-smacking view of the north coast and Sao Jorge. We were 2 couples and this place was perfect. A welcome basket has the essentials to get you through the first 24 hours. There are 2 large, comfortable bedrooms downstairs with walkouts to a patio. Their full 3 piece bathroom is on the main floor. The third, separate bedroom has its own full ensuite bath. The kitchen is well equipped and functional. There are 2 patios facing the fields and sea with an outdoor kitchen area. Pike, Francisco and Vania are always only a text away and are so helpful and very accommodating.

We had a wonderful stay in Nico’s house. The view cannot be beat! The house was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 5. Nico was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations of local restaurants and activities. He also personally met us at the ferry terminal to help us get settled on Pico as well as showing us where the grocery store and bakery was. House was quiet and all the amenities including some Pico treats to greet us. Highly recommend!
