Sora is located within the APPI Snow Mountain Resort area, just 2 minutes by car to the slopes and 5 minutes to the golf course. At the same time, you can access the bustling city of Morioka in just 60 minutes by car, making it a very convenient base for sightseeing in the three prefectures of Iwate, Aomori, and Akita in the Northeast. We recommend using a private vehicle to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The APPI Snow Mountain Resort area has shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, and there is also a supermarket about 20 minutes away by car. There are also great hot spring areas such as Matsukawa Onsen, and Hachimantai Ski Resort and Shimokura Ski Resort are also nearby. On a clear day, you can also see the beautiful Torigasen mountain. Nearby is Roadside Station Shotoku, where you can enjoy seasonal vegetables and seafood. You can also enjoy the nearby beach with your family. You can also enjoy fishing and trekking activities. You can rent the entire building and enjoy it with your family or group of friends. The barbecue area is covered, so if there is no wind and it is only light rain, you can barbecue. Please refrain from booking if you don't like insects because they are common in this location. We can accommodate up to 8 people, but we only have bedding for 6 people, so if you have 2 more people, please bring your own bedding.

Kakunodate guest house Choux

It is a dormitory type guest house using a trailer house. About 3 hours on the Akita Shinkansen from Tokyo, 6 minutes on foot from Kakunodate Station. There is also parking. No meals are provided, but a communal kitchen and lounge are provided as public space. There is a supermarket, convenience store, restaurants and etc. within walking distance. We have shower room, but you can go to the nearby hot spring facilities. There is free WI-FI and rental e-bikes are being prepared in green season.

Cozy stay in Morioka– your home away from home

Welcome to Room Third floor　3005 at Himes MD! It is a 6-minute drive from Morioka Station. If you take the bus, it is a 1-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, Izumiyashiki, from Morioka Station. This room can accommodate up to 5 people. One free parking space is available. There are many restaurants and tourist spots nearby, as well as Morioka Central Park, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. Free Wi-Fi is available during your stay. Check-in is from 15:00 Check-out is by 10:00 am

Share Village Machimura

This is an old thatched house built in 143 years ago. The family that has lived in the house for generations has protected it, but it was planned to be demolished because of the financial issues in 2014. In order to preserve the original landscape of the satoyama for the next generation, we revitalize the house as a membership guest house. However, the activities were stopped due to the pandemic. In June 2024 we reopened the house as a private accommodation place (rental vacation house).

　宿泊施設は山あいにある築36年の昔ながらのたたずまいを残している古い和風の一軒家です。和室8畳１間と10畳2間の広々としたスペースがあることから家族旅行あるいは親しい友人同士のグループ旅行に適した間取りです。もちろん、お一人様のご予約も承ります。予約された日には他のゲストは受け入れません。ただし、各お部屋の仕切りは襖だけなのでプライベートなお部屋としてはお使いになれません。300坪の敷地内に建てられた住宅のため、隣家とは離れているのでご近所に気兼ねなく滞在できます。暑い時期の夜には前庭でのバーベキューや花火などに興じることも可能です。もし、星に興味をお持ちなら晴れた夜には保有する光学機器で星空もご案内いたします。日中はドローンを使って庭先の上空から周辺の山々を空中散歩することも可能です。ここは都会では決して味わうことのない静かで自然豊かな環境と岩手県の遠野と共通する南部地方特有の古い伝統文化を今も色濃く残した地域です。なお、11月から翌年3月19日までの期間は冬季休業となります。

Guest house offers accommodation in a renovated rice granary of over 130 years ago. There is a our guesthouse about 20 minutes by car from the city.
