Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Tai Po District

Mr Hok Ching is an excellent host. He is kind and very helpful. He met me at the Metro station and made it easy to find his apartment. His apartment is in a heavenly beautiful part of North Hong Kong. I would definitely recommend his place.

This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. I had a great stay with a few of my mates, where we were able to enjoy the footy after our BBQ at the nearby BBQ spot. The house is very big, so it was spacious and getting multiple floors was the cherry on top because we had that privacy all to ourselves. Additionally, the rooftop had unmatched ambience - this is good for people wanting to rent this place as the views are breathtaking and even if it starts to rain the umbrella really does cover everyone. Lastly, the pizza next door has extremely good deals and tastes very nice. All in all, a great experience, would highly recommend!

The uncle was very nice and picked us up at the subway station at eleven o'clock at night.It took us all the way back to the accommodation.On the way, we were taught to recognize the road.

Yuetna was a great host, and her home and garden are lovely. I only stayed for a day trip but got a full tour of the village, farms and gardening tips. We saw goats, rabbits, purple kale and sakura trees, and more. Yuetna’s home was beautiful and serene — the rooftop (yoga/meditation space) and greenhouse (with the lovebirds) were especially nice. It was closeby to the river, farms and Forest Cafe. Highly recommended for someone looking for a quiet + unique stay in HK!

Randy’s place was quiet, peaceful, and spacious, particularly by Hong Kong standards. It’s an especially great base if you’re visiting or studying at CUHK and/or hoping to explore or hike in this part of the New Territories. It was exactly what I was looking for, and I look forward to staying here again the next time I’m in HK!

The perfect place for a group of friends or a family to enjoy a weekend at the country side of Hong Kong! Within close proximity, there is an artisan bakery / pizzeria and lots of barbecue options! David was prompt to respond to our questions and easy to communicate with. Not to mention the view from the roof top is breathtaking. Would recommend!

Very good stay at Kay Wan's in Kat O. The island is very relaxing and peaceful, worth visiting and close to other sightseeings such as Kuk Po, Lai Chi Wo and Ap Chau. We were greeted by Miss Yau who was very kind and very helpful, cooking a delicious diner for us and providing amenities. We strongly recommend !

It was a cozy place to stay with lots of shopping that can be done around. The roads are always buzzling with traffic and people..very close to Jordan mtr and Temple street.. also pretty close to bus stop for Airport transfer.. easily accessible and surrounded by infinite options to eat..we couldn’t do enough during our 2 days stay.. also close to McDonalds & Pizzahut.. Pinky was very helpful and even gave us leads for trustworthy local taxi contacts..

Alice place was a great stay for us! Her place really maximize the living area for the family(4 adult 2child) Best part was the 2 separate well equipped spacious bathroom & it's really less waiting game. Being in the heart of the area, we found ourselves walking to various mall and restaurant within 10-20min dist. Ended up not even taking the MTR despite being so close to them, absorbing the walking culture. Locals in the area are heartwarming and nice, there's so many things to see just right downstairs. Had a day trip to Macau and even so returning to her place was not difficult at all as the NA21 from the border ends at Mongkok and less than 10min we are back in the cosy apartment. We all love the bed and my toddler slept soundly every night. We did find ourselves looking for full length mirror, we ended up using the tv screen. Maybe can look into adding one behind the main door :) We were caught in a heavy rain as well & the wash+dryer lifesaver! Will definitely stay here again!

Karin is a great host! very easy to communicate with and very accommodating allowing us to early check in and late check out! we could not ask for more! She was very available to answer all our questions! The place is very quiet, with a cute garden, well described and very clean! With all the necessary amenities. It is just a bit far from public transportation (steep road to access) so get your taxi app ready, they come very fast.

Alan’s place is fantastic. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. During our four-week stay, the apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed, from pots and pans to clean towels. The air conditioning in every room and the living area was a lifesaver in the humid heat outside. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the beds and the spacious interior; it exceeded our expectations. The location is convenient, with numerous bus stops nearby and an MTR station a short walk away. A heads-up: the apartment is on the 6th floor, accessible only by stairs (Alan provides ample information about this beforehand), so packing lighter is advisable. Highly recommend this place! Well worth it!

It was absolutely a great stay at Younis home. The apartment is very clean. You have everything what you need. An amazing connections, bus and train in the near. Top shopping opportunities, such as Malls and supermarkets. Everything is very convenient. Youni is a very nice hostess, she answers very quick and problems are solved easily and quick. We will come back again. I will definitely recommend Younis home. Thank you very much Youni 🙂.

Minutes walking from the MTR., easy access to shops and restaurants. Yet once entering the community gate you are surrounded by trees and flowers and ocean view, making you feel this is a sanctuary in the busy metropolis. The gym and swimming pools in the club house is a plus.

This is a cute place and very clean and very convenient with detailed instructions. What I really appreciated is that Lily is hands on and available - if you’re confused about something (I’m always confused because I’m that kind of ditz-klutz) chances are Lily will be online and be more than willing to help you.

Excellent location, right next to MTR metro exit, with many local eateries, restaurants and shops within minutes! As mentioned in the listing, you do have to walk up to the apartment as there is no lift, but the stairs are clean and wide enough so no issues even with our big suitcases. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. We had a great stay!

Fantastic stay! The location was super easy to get to and in a safe, peaceful neighborhood. There are plenty of great food options nearby in Hung Hom, and I didn’t even need to visit a convenience store everything was so well supplied. The place was very well maintained, with a great shower and all the essentials. The host was very friendly and thoughtful, which made the stay even better. I would definitely come back again!

It is close to the subway station and bus station, it is convenient to get around, it is good value for money, the host is also very nice, that is, it is a little inconvenient when taking a bath, and the water needs to be heated in advance.

We had a great stay! The location is incredibly convenient — the MTR station is literally right below the apartment, so no need to cross any streets. It’s right in the heart of the city, with plenty of food options around. We especially loved having Welcome grocery just downstairs — perfect for grabbing water, snacks, or some quick breakfast ingredients to cook. There are also bakeries, fast food chains, and local restaurants all nearby. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Highly recommended!
