Alloggio bellissimo, grande e super ordinato e pulito! Dintorni molto belli, è stato molto piacevole fare colazione sul terrazzino con vista sulla campagna. Posteggio privato in loco e posizione comodissima: a 10 Min da Orvieto e da Bolsena ma fuori dalla confusione. Consiglio per chi usa il navigatore: passate da Villanova e dalla comodissima statale, è la strada più breve e più comoda, ma alcuni navigatori amano complicare la vita! Last but not least... Paola e Marco! Fantastici, fossero tutti così gli host sarebbe un mondo migliore! Simpatici, professionali e ricchi di consigli. Torneremo sicuramente, un peccato aver fatto solo tre notti, oltre a Orvieto e Bolsena ci sarebbero tantissime altre cose da fare e da vedere

Our stay at La Casa dell Abate was truly wonderful and memorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys beauty and comfort off the beaten path. From the moment we arrived, Allesio was welcoming, friendly, showed us around the home and offered tips on what to do. He will also offer you the opportunity for a pasta class or gourmet dinner which is prepared by their friend Francesco, in the private garden/outdoor kitchen. We really enjoyed this experience. Their home is beautifully decorated yet maintains the charm of the 16th century in which the village was built. We slept great in the peaceful surroundings and the comfortable beds with nice linens. One of our best Airbnb experiences! Thank you Allesio.

Eines der schönstens AirBnBs, welches wir je besucht haben! Alessandro ist sehr freundlich und hat uns tolle tipps für Unternehmungen gegeben. Man hat einen tollen Garten mit fantastischer Aussicht! Für Menschen, die einen ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub machen wollen, die perfekte Unterkunft. Kann das AirBnB von ganzem Herzen empfehlen.

We had a wonderful time and would have loved to stay longer. The accommodation is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The trees and the sun umbrella provide enough shade on the private terrace, even in hot August, so that you can relax wonderfully. Susanna and her husband were only present on the first evening, afterwards her son Federico. Nevertheless, Susamma gave us a delicious cake as a welcome gift on the morning of her departure. Federico was very kind, helpful and respectful and we had a lovely time drinking wine together. During the day we were alone at the property and enjoyed the wonderfully clean pool. The surrounding area is beautiful with its hilly vineyards. Orvieto is very easy to reach by car in 15 minutes and is definitely worth a visit too! A lovely old Italian town with a beautiful cathedral and nice restaurants. Susanna and Federico were great hosts, we would love to come back!

Annarita and her house were amazing! She was so kind, friendly and super helpful. We needed instructions on how to get to the train station and not only did she tell us where to meet the bus and when, she walked us to the store to purchase the tickets and then to the bus stop so we knew exactly where to go. The house was spotless and exactly as it looks in the pictures. There was a grocery store, a bakery, and a fruit and vegetable market all within a 10 minute walk of her house. We walked back to the house from the old town (Orvieto Duomo) in about 30 minutes. Obviously it would take longer if you were to walk up to the old town due to the hills. Also, there were tons of free parking spaces right outside the house. If we are ever back in this area, we would love to stay at Annarita's again!

This is, hands down, the BEST place to stay in Orvieto. The view is the best spot in the entire town- no joke. We walked the entire town and not one single view is better. Tourists and locals would walk down to this private area to catch the sunset or marvel at the vineyard views. We knew they were jealous as they saw us open the door right there and go inside. You will also not find a more helpful and gracious host. The streets in Orvieto are VERY NARROW and difficult to navigate but Elisabetta rode eith us in our car to help us park. We had intended on using this as a base for driving around the area but we loved it so much, we left the car parked and just walked the town for two days. Book this now! You will not regret it. It is far better than the photos that don’t do it justice.

Wir waren sieben Nächte in der Unterkunft und haben uns wohlgefühlt. Die Kommunikation war sehr gut und Maurizio hilfsbereit und der Empfang herzlich (inklusive Kuchen). Das Haus und die Umgebung sind sehr schön, man hat einen tollen Blick in die Landschaft und kann kleine Wanderungen vom Haus aus machen. Auf der Terrasse gibt es Sitzmöglichkeiten, in der Sonne und im Schatten von Bäumen. Supermärkte und Orvieto sind mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar. Empfehlenswert sind Ausflüge nach Bolsena und Civitia di Bagnoregio, die innerhalb einer halben Stunde Fahrtzeit erreichbar sind. Leider konnten wir den Pool nicht nutzen, da das Wetter noch zu kühl war. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

We returned to La Carotta for the second time in 3 years and spent a fantastic 10 days in Bardo’s beautiful home. Bardo is an extremely forthcoming host and a lovely person, while the house itself is equipped with everything one might need and its peaceful setting overlooking Orvieto is second to none. We will definitely return in the future and would like to thank Bardo for the brilliant holiday!
