First trip to Faroe Islands - wonderful welcome from our hosts with plenty of local tips. Great place to stay from which to travel all over the islands. Hot tub well used by us.

Die Unterkunft war das absolute Highlight unseres Aufenthalts auf den Faröern. Es ist wirklich einzigartig schön und die Bilder können die Schönheit der Umgebung gar nicht wiedergeben. Das Haus ist so gemütlich, authentisch und ein Ort, an dem man zur Ruhe kommt und auch direkt wohl fühlt. Leider war bei uns der Whirlpool kaputt, was uns aber rechtzeitig gesagt wurde und wir haben das Angebot bekommen, stattdessen eine Sauna direkt vor das Haus zu bekommen. Das war wirklich so toll! Hans & Bina sind sehr freundlich, super hilfsbereit und antworten sehr schnell :) wir würden allein nur wegen der Unterkunft nochmal wiederkommen. Vielen lieben Dank für diese Möglichkeit. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute zu Hause gefühlt in dem sehr gemütlichen Häuschen. Alles war im Vorfeld klar Beschrieben worden, so war es für uns auch problemlos möglich, den HotPot mit dem bereitgestellten Holz aufzuheizen, was uns ein besonderes Badeerlebnis bis spät in die Nacht hinein ermöglichte. Jederzeit wieder!

Virkelig hyggeligt hjem med rigtig flot udsigt. Huset indeholdt alt, hvad vi behøvede og mere til. Vi var 10 personer over 3 generationer og der var god plads til alle. Oplysende og opmærksom værtinde.

The view from Steinbjorn’s home is quite possibly the most beautiful vista I have experienced anywhere in the World. They say location is everything, and I don’t believe my experience of the Faroe Islands would have been as good had I stayed anywhere else. The solitude of Elduvík was perfect for my solo mountain biking trip, the pink sunsets at Midnight incredible, and the hot tub after a few hours on the bike the icing on the cake. The lounge and dining room are spacious and well appointed, the kitchen clean and well provisioned. I had the pleasure of meeting Steinbjorn when I arrived at the house. He is a friendly chap and is clearly proud of his home. Communication with him both prior to, and during my trip was superb, lots of recommendations for places to visit, and information regarding the village. Steinbjorn was also very attentive to any queries I had whilst at the house. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. The place was cozy, comfortable and had all the amenities we would have wanted.

We greatly enjoyed our week's stay in this delightful farm cottage. After each full day's outings, it was wonderful to return to this warm, cozy cottage with its lovely views over the hills. It is described accurately on the website, is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Its location makes it easy to go anywhere on the islands. Tórður was a most helpful host. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

Vi havde nogle dejlige dage i Torshavn i denne bolig. Den ligger meget centralt og med kort gå afstand til centrum og gode busforbindelser. Der er en fantastisk udsigt fra lejligheden ud over Tinganes og havet, men uden at være klods op af industrihavnen. Et rigtig godt sted at bo i Torshavn.

Vi havde et skønt ophold i Gunnvás bolig. Vi følte os virkelig hjemme i de dejlige, kunstneriske omgivelser. Tórshavn centrum var desuden indenfor gåafstand. Vi kommer gerne igen!

Très grand appartement en enfilade, très propre et très bien aménagé. Grande cuisine très bien équipée (quelques denrées nous attendaient même, ça n'a l'air de rien mais pour moi ça compte, merci Bjørg 😊). Vue sympathique sur le fjord depuis les pièces à vivre et notre chambre. Plusieurs magasins alimentaires sont situés entre 1 et 5 minutes à pied. À proximité se trouvent une station service et des places de stationnement pour ceux voyageant en voiture, et des lignes de bus très pratiques pour ceux qui, comme nous, découvrent ces belles îles à pied et en bus...

Virkelig hyggelig og god lejlighed. Manglede ikke noget. God plads. Sød og imødekommende vært. Ro og fred. Kan anbefales Lugtede af færøsk mad/får ellers var alt super fint.

Three of us greatly enjoyed our stay in Hoyvík. The apartment was perfect and made a great base for exploring the Islands. If you want to visit Torshavn I would consider the bus as parking can be problematic during the day. However parking at the apartment was straightforward. The local eateries are also recommended.

It is a very spacious flat, in an old building in the heart of Torshavn. Even a family could spent some days or a week there. Only the weekend drunken party people can be noisy in the streets around. But we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Torshavn and many places at Faroe island. There is a parking possibility, but with some ferries and busses a car is not always necessary. Thanks you Claus and >Sigrun for your welcome and waiting for our delayed flight . Claus gave us a lift to the Ferry to Iceland to say good bye. We highly recommend this Airbnb.

Den perfekte base for et ophold på Færøerne. Dejlig bolig med plads til familie på fire, beliggende med udsigt over fjorden. Lille lokalsamfund, supermarked, mulighed for at morgenbade i havet, smuk elv, der er en vandretur værd. Kort tur til Torshavn og alle de andre smukke steder på Færøerne.

Excellent séjour ! Elisabeth a été une hôte très aimable et réactive. Sa jolie maison était parfaite (mieux que sur les photos !), très propre et avec de nombreux équipements. Depuis toutes les pièces du Rez-de-chaussée, il y a une magnifique vue sur le fjord et le port. L'environnement est très paisible et très beau.

Magnificent home right in key bit of Torshavn - lovely traditional house overlooking the main harbour. Minutes to walk to best coffee shop and restaurants- parking nearby works well. There couldn’t be a better place to stay in the Faroe Islands, we can’t recommend it enough. Additionally Marna and Matras tipped us off about the imminent arrival of the king and queen’s first royal visit to Torshavn and they parked their yacht right in front of the house. We felt very privileged to be staying in the best place. Lovely house and hosts

Torben is a terrific host, making sure we were set up and letting us know to get groceries in advance because the peaceful island of Nolsoy is sparsely populated and things close early. He checked to be sure we were ok without being intrusive. Directions were spot on and check out couldn’t be easier. His liberal checkout schedule is even timed to the ferries departing Nolsoy. The cozy house is shore front with views across the strait of Torshavn and is steps to walks in the village and hikes on the north side of Nolsoy island. The kitchen is freshly renovated with overly ample amenities. Abundance of kitchenware, spices and extras.
