Private Ballard Backyard Cottage with Natural Light

Escape the bustle of the city and relax in a cozy backyard sanctuary. Sample local craft beer in an Adirondack chair in the garden. Watch a widescreen TV from the bed and make coffee in the morning. This adorable cottage comes complete with queen bed, hardwood flooring, kitchenette with Farmhouse sink, kitchen island, fridge freezer, Kuerig coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, and induction hot plate. With a 50 gallon water heater there will be enough hot water for all your needs. The high end bathroom is completed with a Kohler sink, toilet and hardware. There is also a closet to hang and store clothes and bags. The cottage is heated via high efficiency electric infra red heaters mounted on the ceiling. There is also a whole house ventilation system to keep the air fresh throughout the year (the switch to turn hi/low or on/off is inside the closet). Cable TV, wifi and a DVD player are also available. Amazon and Netflix are included on the smart TV for your use with your own passwords. Free parking is available on the street in front of the Cottage/Main house. The Cottage is a short walk via a gravel pathway to the right of the main house towards the back of the property. Guests are welcome to use the patio seating area outside the Cottage, which includes Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a Weber grill. We welcome contact via email, text or cell at anytime before or during your stay to answer any questions you may have. During your stay, we like to leave the personal interaction guest dependent. We value your privacy and would love to give you a friendly welcome greeting if we pass. However, we are always available and more than happy to chat, just let us know. The Seattle neighborhood of Ballard has many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a cinema, bakeries, and quirky stores. The Sunday market is a must. Golden Gardens Beach, the Ballard Locks, and the Nordic Heritage Museum are all close by. The Cottage is around a 20 min drive to Downtown Seattle. One block from the Cottage you can catch the #40 bus to Downtown Seattle, Fremont, and South Lake Union. Uber and Lyft are readily available in this neighborhood. Grant and Bev are garden lovers, whether it's pottering in the garden, BBQ'ing outside the main house or just chilling. Our kids are also outdoor enthusiasts so will be in and out the garden space around the main house. There is also a store room built at the back of the Cottage with access only from the garden that we use time to time. We respect your privacy and space. The patio area outside the Cottage is for your exclusive use.

Detached Private Upscale Guest Cottage

This is a detached, completely private studio cottage. From the studs out remodel completed in 2014. It has a full travertine bathroom, washer dryer, full size kitchen appliances, miles of granite counter, work space, eating area, built in storage in closet, vaulted ceilings, queen bed. Free internet of course and Direct TV. Top of Queen Anne hill. Within half a block there is casual dining, Macrina Bakery, Bustle, Taco Shop, Targy’s Bar. Dry cleaning and Ken’s Market full grocery store also a half a block away. Full sized appliances, dishes, cookware, coffee pot, blender, and spices. Private outdoor courtyard with BBQ, eating and lounging areas. Private entrance to yard from off street alley parking for 1 car. Additional parking on street. We will be there if you need us but will set it up for you to come and go on your own. Since you're in our backyard, we're around in case you need any assistance. We will be happy to provide anything you need as far as special requests prior to your arrival and if you want special places to go we do have vast knowledge of everything fun to do!!! 6 blocks walk to Queen Anne Ave for all the shops, fine dining and nightlife. ½ mile walk to Kerry Park for the best view of Seattle in town. 1 ½ miles to lower Queen Anne and Seattle Center. Less than 3 miles to downtown and Pike Place Market. We are minutes from some of Seattle's best dining. My personal favorite restaurants within a five minute walk are: How to Cook a Wolf and Lloyd Martin. Groceries: Ken’s Market is on the corner but Safeway and Trader Joes are within a few blocks. Transportation: The #2 bus stop to Seattle Center and downtown core is on the corner, other bus lines are within a 3 block walk. There is a ZipCar at the 7-11 on Queen Anne Ave. There are usually Car2Go cars nearby. This is not only one of Seattle's more desirable and sought after neighborhoods we are also one of the safest neighborhoods. Walk six blocks to Queen Anne Ave for plentiful shops, fine dining, and nightlife. A little closer, Kerry Park has the best view of Seattle. Also not far away are lower Queen Anne and Seattle Center, as well as downtown and Pike Place Market.

Awesome Apt. Near Seattle Center & Amazon Campus.

Near Seattle Center (see events, section below). Amazon, Key Arena, Gates Foundation & Chihuly Glass Museum are at the bottom of the hill. We're at the top facing south near the primary view lookout. Space Needle, Seattle skyline, Mount Rainier, Sunrise & Sunset views nearby. Atop a private home in a quiet neighborhood with a very good walk score. Many restaurants (some among the most highly rated) & coffee shops withinin short walking distance. Downtown (15min) bus stop is one short block away.

Clean and bright studio apartment with self-check in. Space is a recently renovated basement with private entrance in our 1946 brick home. Magnolia is a quiet neighborhood minutes by car or bus from downtown. Spacious studio sleeps 2 comfortably with a king-size bed. Full sized kitchen with new appliances. The bathroom has a large shower and vanity with loads of space, including a heated towel rack to enhance your spa-like experience. There is free street parking & steps away from the bus line.

Notes: - If you 6'0 or taller, there is one area that has a clearance of 5'11. - You will hear our footsteps as we live upstairs! If you are early risers, this is a good fit.

My place is close to Macrina Bakery, Malena's Taco Shop, Ken's Market, and S&L Café on top of Queen Anne hill. You’ll love my place because of the location, easy access to downtown, and the quaint neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Fully stocked kitchenette. There is ample free street parking on my block and 6 bus routes to downtown within 4 blocks from here. The bed is a Full / Double Size, sleeper sofa.

Staying at Vince’s place was perfect for our visit to Seattle. The unit provides a lovely view of the water, and on a clear day you can see the mountains across the bay. The unit was as described in the post and it was easy to feel at home. Vince was also quite responsive and helped us with our questions in a timely manner. The unit is not far from a number of shops in Queen Anne, and a 10-15 minute drive from several other neighborhoods. If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay in Seattle, I would recommend Vince’s! We hope to come back on our next trip!

Everything about Julie’s place was spectacular! Beautiful surroundings in every direction. The area is very walkable and many excellent restaurants could be found with ease. The Airbnb was immaculate with every amenity you would need. Extra nice touches including bottled water, a bottle of wine and specialty soda. Comfortable bed and different pillows to suit your need was also provided. Tons of bathroom amenities too. As if that were not enough, the deck upstairs had a beautiful view and comfortable seating. Blankets were provided so we could enjoy the sunset in comfort. We will be back soon and will definitely stay here. 5 Stars!!!!!

Craig was responsive, engaged and friendly. The accommodations were clean & well maintained, with attention paid to small details in bedroom and bathroom. There is sufficient space for 1-2 people to stay in the bedroom, with the private bathroom a few steps away from bedroom. The neighborhood is quiet & peaceful, plus I felt quite safe even when walking back late at night from Link Light Rail (Roosevelt stop is about 18 mins). I would stay here again.
