Located in Braeside; just a 30 minute drive to Calabogie Peaks Resort, a 7 minute drive to Arnprior, and a 15 minute drive to Renfrew. Great hiking, fishing, and skiing nearby. And just a few minutes away is the gorgeous, quiet, and secluded Braeside Beach. Located beside our residential home, with private entrance and deck. At the moment there is no AC; a ceiling and tower fan are available.

This cozy cottage is located directly on the waterfront on the Ottawa river in front of Mohr island. It's perfect for a couple or small family retreat away from the city. You can relax by the water on the deck in the hot tub, take an adventure in one of the kayak’s or enjoy a campfire while watching the stars with the supplied firewood. A canoe and two kayaks with 4 lifejackets are available for guests and are included with your rental. Unfortunatly our place is not dog friendly.

Such an incredible property surrounded by nature. The location is perfect, just a short drive into town. I highly recommend sleeping with the windows open listening to the flowing river & the wildlife in the background. Kate is a very thoughtful host who made sure us & our two dogs were comfortable throughout our stay. This place & its beautiful gardens is a true escape from reality! Cant wait to come back again.

My family had the pleasure of staying here for the first week in June 2025. We had a fabulous week enjoying this fabulous cottage and its surroundings. The inside offered us all the comfort and things we needed, including an awesome hot tub "tub" complete with rolled towels, clothes pegs and plastic glasses! Everything was exceptionally clean and there were lots of great books and games to keep us entertained as we lazed around the beautiful property. The kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun as we explored both directions on the river. Honestly the property was SO nice we hardly wanted to leave it but we did manage to get out a few days to visit Ottawa and the cute towns of Perth & Almonte. Two fabulous restaurants we visited and recommend is Joe's Italian Kitchen (In Almonte) and Michael's Table in Perth. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog Russ who had the BEST time all week enjoying the water, boats and watching the wild life from his little fur rug in sunny bay window.

We appreciated the beautiful space and especially the coffee pods provided ;) The support of a local gallery is a wonderful touch and we liked the paintings on display. The house looked more like a new build; it was so beautifully appointed. It was a great gathering space to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday! Thanks Zachary!

Gorgeous private retreat with hot tub

Our large group had a wonderful stay at this rental. The host's were responsive and flexible. The place is very well set up to accommodate multiple families. It offers many places to hang out all together and enough bedrooms and beds to retreat into separate areas. The baby amenities were a nice touch too! The kitchen is very well equipped, and there are enough linens for each bed, bath, and hot tub/sauna. We are already talking about coming back next year. We had a wonderful time!

Everything was clean and modern and the unit had everything we needed plus Courtney even provided us with additional items in the fridge, for our coffee, shower, and more. We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!
