I Love Jalatlaco - Cozy Hideaway

The property is located in Jalatlaco, one of the safest and most calm neighborhoods in Oaxaca. The bungalow has its own bathroom, a queen size bed, ceiling fan and air conditioning as well as a small kitchenete. The room is separate of the main house by the patio and garden. I live in the main house with my daughter and my two dogs . In the property I also have other small room for rent, this is just for one person and it is located in the same patio area.

Our house is a traditional hacienda-type house. The guest bedrooms have their only entries through the outside patio. The private heated pool awaits for a relaxing swim after a full day exploring ruins or touring the nearby pueblos! Lachigolo is a small and peaceful pueblo, about a 15-minute drive from Oaxaca along the Pan American Highway, and around 5 minutes past El Tule. The location makes it a good base for day trips to places like Hierve al Agua, Teotitlan, and Mitla.

All 5 Stars ! Worth it! Very beautiful accommodations, looks much better than pictures in listing. Great shower pressure and hot water. Stunning garden with patio. Felt very private even with owners home across patio. Attentive friendly host. Walking through the neighborhood is like a scene from a movie. Lots to do and see but quiet at night. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Downtown is walking distance. Was also able to find a gym nearby. We would love to stay again for longer next time. Highly recommend!

I like it it was Cozy and clean little noise, one thing I recommend it’s the number on the property there is two with the same number and I got confuse ( but Victor send a picture of the front of the house) but I think it should say 621 A or something. One more thing I will recommend it’s the shampoo bottles it’s safer if it’s plastic instead of glass. But besides that everything else it’s perfect. He recommends places shops and everything else you may ask.

Alejandra's place is as shown in the photos. Very clean. Great place to work in a peaceful setting. Amazing views especially at night. Easy walk into the village. I did not have a car and if you do, it would make traveling outside of Huaypam much easier. The town is very small. Restaurants are usually closed by 6pm . It worked out perfectly for me as I was there to work from home and also wanted to relax. Of course there are barking dogs at night ( as mentioned by another guest review) but that is to be expected when you are in a more rural area! Easy 20-30 min commute to Oaxaca and there are taxis and frequent local buses. I would highly recommend Alejandro's place as long as you will not mind that it is a bit remote overlooking the village.
