Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Saitama

We had a wonderful stay at 真理子's beautiful Showa-style private guest house. We appreciated the traditional style and furnishings and especially 真理子's kindness and hospitality. She went above and beyond what we anticipated, driving us back and forth from the train station, lending us yen when we had only foreign currency (no credit cards accepted at the train stations), and preparing and serving us the most delicious meals. 真理子 speaks English, which helped us tremendously. She showed us how to buy train tickets, explained the meaning of the tea ceremony in the Japanese tradition, told us stories dear to Japanese people--all of which gave us a fuller appreciation of the culture. The guest house is located in a semi-industrial and residential neighborhood. We took morning walks through the narrow streets to a small nature preserve and up a set of stairs to a paved trail from which we got a view of Mount Fuji and speeding trains. We highly recommend 真理子's guest house.

Jiang ist ein sehr aufmerksamer und netter Gastgeber. Ohne eigene Aufforderung hat er meine Ankunftszeit am Flughafen geprüft und ich konnte schon am Vormittag statt Nachmittag einchecken. Der Weg zur Unterkunft wurde mit präzisen Bildern und Stationen beschrieben, sodass man ganz leicht das Haus findet. Die Ruhe der Umgebung ist wunderbar und da sich das Haus in einer Sackgasse befindet, hört man überhaupt keine Straßengeräusche, was in den japanischen Großstädten wirklich sehr ungewöhnlich ist. Das habe ich sehr genossen. An sich ist Itabashi weit entfernt von allem. Das sollte man wissen, wenn man nicht nur nach Ikebukuro will. Ansonsten gibt es sehr viele Izakayas und Konbinis in der Nähe, sodass man auch spät am Abend etwas zu Essen findet. Die Unterkunft ist etwas kleiner, als sie auf den Bildern wirkt und es gibt Überwachungskameras im Gemeinschaftsbereich, weshalb ich mich in der Küche nicht so gern aufgehalten habe. Trotzdem würde ich auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

This was our first time staying in a traditional Japanese house, and we were very excited before our arrival. Upon checking in, we were delighted with everything—the beautiful surroundings, the exceptional traditional Japanese house, and the warm hospitality of the two owners. We will gladly recommend "古民家田淵" to our friends and look forward to returning for another stay in the future.

I absolutely loved my stay here! Everything was incredibly clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was made with such care, and I looked forward to it every day. What made my experience even more special were the owners, Ms. Akiko and her husband — they were truly the kindest and most thoughtful hosts I’ve ever met. They made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I’m especially grateful for how they went above and beyond to help me when I had an issue at the airport — their support meant so much to me. I can’t express how thankful I am for their warm hospitality. I genuinely fell in love with this place, and I already miss it. I would love to come back and stay again — hopefully very soon!

友人5名で利用させていただきました。 自然に囲まれた一棟貸しのため、プライベート空間でゆったりとした時間を過ごすことができました。 内装はリノベーションされており、暖炉やレトロなスピーカーなどがあり、おしゃれで落ち着ける空間でした。 野外には焚き火スペースやバーベキューコンロがあり、アウトドアも楽しめました。 オーナー様も親しみやすく、事前の利用マニュアルの共有や到着時には電話で丁寧な説明があり、安心して利用することができ、アーリーチェックインやレイトチェックアウトにも快くご対応いただけました。 また是非リピートさせていただきたいです。

The house is clean and the furniture is simple. Surrounding supermarkets are very close, 5 minutes by car. There are many restaurants, which is very convenient. The owner will introduce many hot springs for my reference. The most important thing is that it is very close to our training place, I am very satisfied

お勧めできる宿です 綺麗で大きな部屋と3つのお風呂があり、快適でした。羽釜やピザ窯も楽しいものでした。 寝具が清潔ですが非常に薄い点、ピザを窯に入れる道具が壊れていた点は残念でした。

I consider this places as a hidden gem. Not so far from the city, not so far from the countryside. Yasuo San has been very kind and friendly. Highly recommended :D

Hiroshi was an exceptional host. Everything we need is in the apartment. Although the building is a little bit old, it is easy to find and close to train stations, bus stops and many restaurants. Will definitely recommend Hiroshi’s place.

お返事も非常にすぐ返ってきたため、予定を立てやすかったです。 お部屋も清潔で心地よく過ごせました。 また利用したいと思いました。

5家族13人(うち子ども9人)で、年越しに利用させて頂きました！ 部屋も広く快適に過ごさせて頂きました！ 寝具が足りなさそうとの事だったので、寝具の持ち込み打診させていただいたところ、快く了承して下さり助かりました。 調味料は無いので用意が必要です。 お皿などは元から紙皿など持っていったので、きちんと確認してませんがスプーンフォークは沢山あったと思います。 子どもが喜ぶアイテムもありました！ レイトチェックアウトの希望もスケジュール確認して対応して下さり助かりました。 (必ず対応できるとは限らないと思いますので、希望の場合ホストに相談してください) 1階から2階は階段で2階以降エレベーターなので荷物が重たい場合は大変かも！ とにかくお世話になりました！ ありがとうございましたm(*_ _)m

It may be far for some, but I think its a worthful almost a kilometre walk from Nishiarai Station. Do avoid check in late at night as the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet. Its a place I cherish and definitely will come back to the same place if I am at Tokyo
