Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint-Vigor-le-Grand

We LOVED our stay in Sommervieu. The house was simply idyllic, surrounded by flowers and with a nearby (but not too close!) field of friendly cows wandering by. The house itself was very quiet, comfortable, and fully equipped, with everything one would need in the kitchen, loads of books and games, and firewood for a roaring fire. We didn’t use the bikes or outdoor seating because the weather didn’t cooperate, but would love to come back and try them someday. Sophie and François were super attentive, offering local suggestions and also pointers for when we moved on to Paris, suggesting a restaurant in Paris where we later had a delicious lunch! Thank you so much for hosting us, we hope to come back!

Vi är fullkomligt nöjda med boendet, bodde fyra nätter. Hög standard rakt igenom. Vi uppskattade lugnet och den idylliska omgivningen efter innehållsrika dagar med utflykter till D-dagsstränderna och Mont St Michel. Katrine fick oss att känna oss som hemma och gjorde det lilla extra för oss som gäster. Vi uppskattade hennes tips på sevärdheter och bra bagerier, restauranger och livsmedelsaffärer i närområdet. Vi hoppas återvända till huset i Le Manoir igen!

This cottage topped off an amazing trip to Normandie. The space is spacious and was super clean, it has a huge downstairs area with equally huge bedrooms upstairs. Everything you need in the kitchen with a great outdoor patio. The geese were very fun to have at your back fence also… Only 15mins to Omaha beach and 5 mins drive to the port town nearby where we had some beautiful sunset dinners by the water. Communication was excellent also. We absolutely loved our stay here and couldn’t recommend more highly 10/10

Nicolas m'a accueilli avec gentillesse et chaleur. L'entrée et la sortie se sont déroulé très simplement sur une relation basé sur la confiance et ce fût très agréable. Le logement est très bien situé Bayeux centre accessible à pied, proche sortie national pour aller faire des visites, commerce à proximité. La cour est sécurisée et l'environnement est très calme. On avait trois voitures et on a toutes pu les garer gratuitement au porte du logement dans la rue.

Het verblijf was genieten. Heerlijk rustig maar toch dicht bij veel bezienswaardigheden. De paarden waren erg leuk om zo om je heen te hebben en te zien vanuit de badkamer. Super fijne dagen gehad. Sylvie was een ontzettend aardige host. Zeker een aanrader!!

Nous avons passé un super moments chez Arnaud et Jessica. Leur accueil était impeccable, le gîte était parfait, c'était mieux que ce qu'on espérait. Merci pour la bouteille de cidre, ainsi que votre réactivité durant tout le séjour. Le bain nordique est un vrai + Nous avons profité du terrain de tennis, du ping pong et de la piscine. Le jardin est entretenu avec amour. Nous vous recommandons ce logement, très spécial pour une parenthèse agréable. Merci pour tout !

We loved Chantal’s place. We were warmly welcomed by Chantal, who provided us with a tour of her place and helped us get settled. The place felt brand new, everything was pristinely clean. Interior is beautifully decorated and everything was perfect. Chantal went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed - with a yummy cider waiting chilled for us, and plenty of tea and coffee. There was also all the amenities available (toilet paper; towels; dishwashing detergent etc). Chantal has very cute puppies and she allowed my son to play with them. We would love to stay again and will - but next time we will stay longer. Highly recommend Chantal’s place.

Our stay was perfect, great location from which to explore Normandy and fantastic host. The town centre is a 10 minute walk with lots of places to eat and drink. We took our dog and she was very at home, garden was great space! Would recommend highly!

Perfect place right in the heart of Bayeux with everything you need right out the front door. Dominique was an excellent host and responded immediately to my questions. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Would stay again if back in the city.

This is in the heart of town. The bars and restaurants are very close. This did not bother me, but if you are a light sleeper, you may want to look elsewhere. The building is old, but has a certain charm. I would stay there again.

We loved Sophie's place! A beautiful attic space - perfect for two - full of old-world charm while being fitted with all the mod cons and tastefully decorated. Comfy bed, lounge area to relax, a well fitted kitchen and the shower was hot and plentiful. We had everything we needed, and when we weren't site-seeing we loved relaxing in the apartment. The view of the cathedral and the old hotel over the road was wonderful, and the location cannot be beaten! It's a quiet street, so very peaceful and calm, no noise at all. And yet a 3-4 minute walk from the front door and you're right in the old-heart of Bayeux, with all the shops, cafes, patisseries and restaurants. If you step out of the door and walk a few minutes in the other direction there is a free car park that we left our car in. We never once had a problem finding a free space. Sophie was lovely, very kind and responsive host who was always on hand if we needed her. No problems at all though, a fab place all round!

We had an incredible stay at this beachfront Airbnb! The location is absolutely unbeatable — you literally open the back gate and step right onto the sand. It was such a treat to wake up and be at the beach within seconds. The house itself was spotless and really well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the bathroom was stocked with all the essentials. The kids loved the dedicated room and play area — it made the whole stay even more relaxing for us. It’s hard to find a place that offers this kind of location and comfort at such great value. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

The best place I’ve ever used on Air BnB. Amazing space in the amazingly beautiful town of Bayeux. Breathtaking and a true home away from home. Would completely recommend for anyone!

We loved staying at the apartment. Just a few minutes walk from the centre attractionsand restaurants. Free parking close by. Quiet, very clean, everything we needed for our stay. Although not large plenty big enough for a couple. Super shower room. 10 out of 10.

Agréable séjour chez karin. Proche du centre ville et de la mer. Commerce à proximité et belle balade à faire le long du littoral.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel, l’appartement était impeccable, la résidence sécurisée et à deux pas de la plage et de restaurants ; Olivier a été très attentionné et nous a conseillé des activités à Villers que nous avons vraiment apprécié. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Le logement d’Anne est idéal. Il est tres bien situé, à proximité immédiate de la mer avec ses grandes plages. Il est décoré avec beaucoup de goût. C’est véritable petit cocon dans une des maisons emblématique du célèbre architecte Guimard. Merci Anne pour vos petites attentions, votre gentillesse et merci d’accepter avec confiance nos amis à quatre pattes.

We spent one perfect week at Mathieu’s place and had an absolutely terrific experience! If you’re looking for an apartment in Bayeux, this is where you want to stay, hands down. The location is perfectly situated for walking to shops, markets, and cafes in the old town center and is also centrally-located for exploring the Normandy area. The apartment is inviting, peaceful, and clean with a comfortable bed. We especially enjoy livable locations where we can hear the church bells ring, and this was no exception at Mathieu’s place since the cathedral is just down the street (with a stunning view from the family room window). The bells add to the ambiance and experience, and fear not for they don’t ring through the night so your sleep isn’t interrupted. Only good things to say about this place!

Le logement proposé par David est tip top ! Le calme, une vue imprenable sur la mer, coucher de soleil depuis la "terrasse véranda", un emplacement à 20 minutes de Caen qui permet de profiter de la ville, de la campagne et des bords de mer ! Quoi dire d'autre ? Un hôte disponible, et pour finir, une déco sympa qui rajoute du charme à ce we en amoureux sur les plages de Normandie ! Les yeux fermés vous pouvez louer!

Rien à redire nous avons été plus que ravis de notre séjour. Tout était parfait. Ils ont vraiment pensé à tout. Nous reviendrons à bientôt….
