Parks & Nature

John V. Lindsay East River Park
1234 East 6th Street

Check out the dog park, read under the historic Hare Krishna tree. Beneath this tree, in 1966, the first recorded outdoor chanting session of the Hare Krishna mantra outside India. There are also many people who use the parks' soup kitchens who tend to hang out in the southwest corner. The northwest corner has an active unofficial skatepark. There is a pingpong table, several playground and a free swimming pool too!
