Parks & Nature

Want to see a kangaroo, a wombat, hold a koala, see native Australian animals up close. Driving around during the day, you will almost never see any animals. Australian animals are nocturnal. A pleasant ferry trip up to Southbank and then a Lone Pine river cruise up the Brisbane River to the Sanctuary is a great day out.

If you have a whole day free, take a trip across Moreton Bay to Tangalooma, From Tangalooma you can snorkel around sunken ships, go on a 4 w Drive to the biggest sand dunes and do sand dune sliding, feed wild dolphins, eat great sea food, including Moreton Bay "bug" , a type of crayfish. Maybe , stay at Tangalooma resort and do some water skiing.
