Some of the best coffee in the city, with a revolving selection of roasters sourced from around the world (mainly Canada, USA and Europe). Knowledgeable baristas can be a little snooty, but the space is fantastic and the coffee is even better.

I don't know how many dozens of beers this place has on tap (50+). Great rotating beer lists, loads of locals to try, and very good food mixed with friendly service. The renovated former salt building is a great adaptive reuse of an iconic architectural building in an area that's largely been de-industrialized. This is a good place for kids, too.

Biking or walking the seawall is a great way to take in one of the most beautiful parts of Vancouver. The cycling trail runs the entire perimeter of the city, from East of Downtown, all the way around Stanley Park, through False Creek, Granville Island, out past Kitsilano and Point Grey
