This has a definite hipster scene that makes you feel like you might have slipped through a crack in the sidewalk and into San Francisco. They have fancy barista's making fancy coffees and I'm not even sure what the style of brewing is called.

Parks & Nature

This trail is close to downtown (walking distance even) and is a nice hike that overlooks Boulder. The valley trail goes halfway up and is the easier trail or you can continue all the way up either via the valley trail or by going up the backside of Sanitas. It's a great climb and a satisfying hike.

Right in town and up against the mountains lies Wonderland Lake. It's a small picturesque area and you can circle the lake and/or gain a little elevation by tromping up the paths on the hillsides.

The Boulder Creek Path runs right through town. You can pick it up at the library and go either direction. Heading west toward the mountains will bring you to Eben G. Fine park which is where you'll find picnickers and lots of people cooling off from the summer sun in the cool (COLD!) mountain water. In spring and summer you can watch tubers and kayakers pass by. If you continue up the path it will take you into the canyon where you can continue your wandering.
