An amazing old bowling alley (oldest surviving in LA, in fact!) converted into a gorgeous restaurant--with the bowling alley still operational. Exposed machinery, chandeliers made from converted pin clamps, and the best pizza this side of LA make for a great marriage of steam punk and awesome food.

I would buy this entire shop if I could. Full of unique gifty items that range from clothing to kitchen utensils, beautiful plates and jewelry to handcrafted kids' clothes and toys. It can be pricey, but for a special gift this is a good option.
