If you drive past all the ugly industrial stuff right to the end of Pigeon House Road, you can park and walk along a walkway called the South Wall which juts out into the middle of Dublin Bay. It will give you the most amazing view of the whole bay. The surface of the pier is roughish but the views are worth the trouble!
