There are many restaurants to choose from and a few of my favorites are listed here. All are just a brief stroll away down Broadway to the Rondout creek.
Mariners Harbor is a great place to sit and have a drink at their outdoor bar, or have a meal sitting on their outdoor patio. The menu includes seafood, steaks, etc.

Half way down the hill, is the Golden Ginza, you can get fresh sushi, and they have Hibachi tables, it’s a lot of fun, although I recommend calling ahead.

Vegan restaurant aka Secret Vegan, serves breakfast and lunch, open to 3 pm right “up the hill” and around the left corner, highly recommend, the owner is super nice! Great coffee with oat milk!

Sightseeing

Most of the site seeing is within walking distance, and others are a short drive.
A working Trolly will bring you to the tip of Kingston Point with a view of the Rondout lighthouse along the way.

They have classes in boat building, furniture making, instrument making, etc. check the website and correlate your stay with a class and go home with a one person canoe, musical instrument or a handmade piece of furniture (Adirondack chair).

Spectacular views, a sandy beach for swimming and picnicing, a small boat launch for kayaks and canoes or small water craft, volley ball courts, and frisbee golf (9 holes, I have the frisbees, just ask!) separate small and large fenced in dog parks, walking track, nature path, and pavilions with picnic tables.

A 35 minute drive brings you to Minnewaska State Park. There are many miles of carriage trails, for mountain biking, and hiking, 5 glacial sky lakes. And a spectacular 65 foot water fall.
