The apartment where famous guitarist Jimi Hendrix died. Beautiful street. Supposedly he overdosed on drugs partly at this apartment where a friend lived and partly at the little church around the corner.

Parks & Nature
Holland Park is the most beautiful park in London and a 10 minute walk from the flat. The Kyoto garden is my favourite part as it has a koi pond and PEACOCKS!! Truly the best park. It also has a cafe and restaurant and tends to be much quieter than Hyde park.

Holland Park AvenueHolland Park is the most beautiful park in London and a 10 minute walk from the flat. The Kyoto garden is my favourite part as it has a koi pond and PEACOCKS!! Truly the best park. It also has a cafe and restaurant and tends to be much quieter than Hyde park.
Kensington Palace is where Prince William and Kate reside and is my favourite part of Hyde Park (which is very very large). Kensington Palace gardens and the west side of Hyde Park are a 10-15 minute walk from the flat and also tend to be the less busy part of Hyde Park.
I once saw the royal baby and family having a picnic out the front of the palace. The houses nearby are also a sight to behold and the street next to the Palace is famously called 'Billionaires Row'.

Another great grocery store though not quite as friendly in feel. They often have good deals on wine.
If you sign up for a free mywaitrose card you are entitled to one free tea or coffee everyday and the cappuccinos are quite good!

Not my favourite grocery store and I wouldn't recommend any of their pre-prepared meals but it is open until midnight so good to have if you're in a bind or need basic things. Cheaper than the other markets.

This little Italian deli has lovely cheeses, imported goods and very friendly Italian staff. The restaurant food is not great though.

Getting Around
This is the best underground station in the area as it has the Central Line (the red one that runs through the centre of town) and the Circle and District lines that will take you to Chelsea and South Kensington where there are museums.
You can get to soho in 10 minutes on the central line and they come every 1 or 2 minutes. They are incredibly reliable and run every weekday from 5am-a little after midnight and all night on weekends.

The decor and ambience are not the best in my opinion but it's true that the cocktails are very good and the bartenders friendly. It gets absolutely packed on weekends so go early if you want to get in. It's also quite cheap compared to a lot of the other London cocktail bars.

This old english pub is definitely a must see! The outside facade is covered in flowers and regularly wins floristry awards. The inside is full of weird British trinkets and photos of Winston Churchill. There is a thai restaurant inside the pub thus why it might seem a bit like a strange smelling bar at first. I'm told the food is decent.
