Yummy food and some great boutiques. Try oyster happy hour at Escocesa and get takeaway breakfast from The Good Egg for some great people watching in Clissold Park

It doesn’t get more vibrant than Dalston. Colourful in every which way and all the smells and tastes to go with it. Get the potato sourdough from the Dusty Knuckle, have coffee at L’Atelier, Turkish Breakfast at Hanimeli, brunch at Brunswick East, lunch at The Red Hand, a cocktail at High Water, dinner at Jones and Sons and find out what’s going on at Earth to round out the day. (If you can, fit in a trip to Beyond Retro for some shopping between bites!)

City advice

Getting around

Not just the tube! (But that’s not far away either)

Our red double decker buses are not only iconic but a great way to see and orient yourself in the city. For quicker routes into town, the Underground is a short trip on the Overground from Dalston Junction to Whitechapel or from Dalston Kingsland to Highbury and Islington.
