"The Integratron is located in Landers, California, 20 miles north of Joshua Tree National Park. Its creator, George Van Tassel (1910-1978), claimed that the structure is based on the design of Moses’ Tabernacle, the writings of Nikola Tesla and telepathic directions from extraterrestrials. This one-of-a-kind 38-foot high, 55-foot diameter, all wood dome was designed to be an electrostatic generator for the purpose of rejuvenation and time travel." Worth a visit, call in advance to schedule a sound bath!

Parks & Nature

Chances are, you're visiting because of the unique landscape and plant-life that only exist in the Mojave Desert. JTNP is a great place to visit to see uninterrupted vies of Joshua Trees in a natural setting. Be sure to swing by the Visitors Center to get a map. All of the main sights are worthwhile and you could spend a few days discovering it all, or a lifetime! $25/day pass or $40/annual.

Good quality (if small selection) of juice, milk, sour cream etc. Also stock eggs from a farm nearby in Johnson Valley as well as honey and jams occasionally.

Our local hospital and emergency room. Keep in mind that it is private and they do not bill out to most insurances. If you can stand a slight wait, it may be worthwhile to head down to Palm Springs so that a broken bone doesn't break the bank. Great people though!
