A walk along the Shoreham Beach boardwalk is a lovely thing to do, I would particularly recommend to go at sunset and the colours are often beautiful and the quality of the light is very special.
The boardwalk can be joined just at the end of Ferry Road , about 5 mins walk from the house.

A nice 25 min walk from the house you can go plane and helicopter spotting at the cute Shoreham Airport which is in an old Art Deco building. There is a nice cafe (sells Alcohol) where you can sit have a coffee or eat and watch the light aircraft landing and take off.

If you like a small hike I would recommend a walk up Mill Hill to get the view of the downs, the sea and the river Adur. About 45 min walk from the house but you can also make a slightly longer circular route and come back along the River Adur.

A nice 20min walk along the river to a scenic bridge, good spot for a photo. You can make it into a circular walk and come back the other side of the river. You can also stop at the Amsterdam Inn which is nearby.

Pub with lovely beer garden, good food
The Bridge pub is an easy 7 min walk over the bridge from the house. They do an excellent Sunday roast with huge plates of food and vege and vegan options. It has a lovely beer garden overlooking the river a great place for drinks on a sunny day.

I love this venue! It has 3 floors and you can eat or just have drinks or coffee. The food is good the cocktails are great. It’s a short taxi ride of 15 mins or there is street parking outside on Kingsway for small fee (1.30 for 1 hr). It overlooks the sea and also has outdoor seating area for good weather. Excellent place for a sun downer.
