City advice

Getting around

public transport

Public transport in Tromsø is the cheapest way to get around it's super easy to use and pretty much covers all areas. Busses are almost always on time and you can get a ticket right from your mobile phone with very little hassle. Taxis can be expensive, however they might be a better option if your staying a way outside the city or look at hiring a car (there's some great cheaper options if you know where to look. Feel free to ask for more info on this)
Customs and culture

Norwegian culture

Norwegian culture is quite similar to most of Europe, learning a few basic words of Norwegian will likely help but most people speak fluent English if needed. Cash isn't often carried in Norway anymore and everywhere accepts all major card providers.
Don't miss

things to do

There is SO much you can do in and around Tromsø take a look at visittromso website for details of any festivals or activities that might be on while your here. Speak to the locals there might be something you don't know about going on somewhere. If your in the city polaria is a great activity for families, and mack brewery tour is good for those old enough.
