Porthleven - Sweet harbourside restaurant, is half Maori, half Chinese Malay – and so the dishes are characterised by Asian and New Zealand influences that are a little unusual for the Cornish coast. There’s wasabi tartare and curry spiced monkfish, shimeji mushrooms with Cornish venison and dashi broth with Atlantic shellfish – all in a 300-year-old pub as Cornish as they come.

Port Isaac - This is certainly one of the most scenic restaurants in Cornwall, perched on the Atlantic coast a half-hour drive from Padstow. A real gem of a Cornish fishing village. Park at the top and walk down to the village along a great little track. Make sure you visit the Tin Church on the way. Fishing boats supply fresh crab and lobster every day. There is a village pub and a good cafe/restaurant. A perfect place for peace and quiet, especially in spring and autumn near the most southerly point in mainland Britain.. Spring comes early, summer lingers long. "The most beautiful place in the world" - Jenny Agutter.

Blasted by the breeze off the Atlantic, the magnificent beach is always a colourful scene of windsurfers, survers and swimmers. Backed by sand dunes tufted with wild grass, at low tide there is a vast amount of sand to enjoy and large areas of rock pools are uncovered, which are great for kids to explore.
