If you have some cash to see something in the Opera House then great - otherwise just go for a wander around the forecourt, you can walk around the Mrs Macquaries Chair to there and take in the Opera House and Harbour.

Gorgeous garden/park walking distance from my place. There is a bar and a cafe in the Garden where you can grab a coffee or a wine. It is a great place to take a sunset picnic.

Gorgeous swimming spot that is nice and calm if you don't feel like battling the surf beach. There is a nice cafe down here and a good pub too.

Another beautiful beach but it is often closed due to rough surf conditions. You can do the Bondi to Coogee walk that will pass through all of the beaches along this coastal line and stop in and swim along the way. Pack some snorkels.
