Food scene

Asian comfort food for brunch - sign me up! Start with a peach frose to cool down in those 100+ temps and start Sunday funday right. Follow it up with the match beignets (these were better than beignets I've had in NOLA), and for the meal I ordered the eggs Benedict and chicken biscuits and gravy. Both dishes were delicious but the bbq egg Benny stole the show for me and made me wishing I wore stretchy pants to brunch!

Beer, liquor, and Metcalf BBQ at this down-home divey bar with a patio where Johnny Cash tunes play in the background. Rated best happy hour in Austin! Check it out before 5 pm and chat with Brad the bartender. He welcomed me into this city and will do the same with you! Ask about George!

A modern hip Austin beer scene vibe with a full menu and brews. The beers here were pretty good. They have a spacious covered dog friendly patio. A great food menu that includes brunch. The curly fries were delicious. You can even order food next door at their sister better half cafe and get it delivered to you here.

Hands down best tacos in Austin. A lot of opinions out there about tacos in Austin so YOU HAVE TO TRY THESE before you formulate your opinion. So many options and all of the meats (and veggie) options are always perfectly prepared. Have to love the spicy Verde sauce as well. Pair some tacos with the chips and queso and you've got yourself a great meal!
