Westward Ho! is known for its surfing seas and the long expanse of clean sand backed by a pebble ridge and grasslands which extends for about three miles. When the tide is out and makes a great place for a game of volleyball or rounders. This beach is dog friendly and offers plenty of things to do such as, Arcades, Go Karts and Crazy Golf. Westward Ho! Offers a range of restaurants such as: Pier House, Morans Thai Restaurant, Pig on the Beach, Tea on the Green, Waterfront Inn, plus many more.

Croyde beach is also another great beach for surfers and dog walkers. Croyde has a little selection of restaurants such as: The Thatched, Billy Buds, Hobbs Bistro and Blue Groove.

Saunton Sands is a beach near the English village of Saunton on the North Devon coast near Braunton, popular for longboard surfing and chilled days down the beach. Saunton Sands Hotel over looks the beach and is a great spot for some lunch and even a Spa Day.

Lynton and Lynmouth, also known as Little Switzerland, is the scenic landscape in and around the villages of Lynton and Lynmouth in Devon, which resembles the landscapes of Switzerland. It includes the surrounding coast and countryside: Valley of Rocks, Watersmeet and Heddon Valley. Lynton and Lymouth offers stunning scenery, magnificent wildlife and views to remember forever, also not to mention the Cliff Railway, the highest and steepest fully water powered Victorian railway in the World!

A personal favourite of mine, Lush Bar and Restaurant is located in Barnstaple Town just a 10 minute drive from our Airbnb. This newly refurbished bar and restaurant has been designed to offer a lovely homely warm welcoming. Whether it’s a family meal in the nicely lit restaurant, a lunch snack with a friend or Partner or even a few cocktails on a night out, LUSH is definitely a place to be considered. They offer a menu for everyone from hearty pub style food to delicious great restaurant dishes, there is tapas to pick at and plenty for vegan, veggie and gluten-free diners.

The Big Sheep features an indoor playground, animal shows, brewery, gin distillery, animal barn, Battlefield Live laser tag, outdoor playground, shops and 2 restaurants. There are also currently 8 rides including a roller coaster, farm safari ride, train ride, twister ride, piggy pull along, swan pedalos, tractor school, carousel and pony rides.
