There is a little kiosk offering refreshments and ice creams. Remember to take change for the car park.
Turn left when you get onto the beach and walk along until you reach the creek, if you head up the creek you will often be able to sit and watch the seals swimming.

Holkham is perhaps the most spectacular beach, though not ideal with small children as the tide is often very far out. If you're a film buff, you might recognise the beach as being where the last scene from Shakespeare in Love was filmed. Its dramatic size offers a wonderful place to walk and blow away the cobwebs, followed by a stiff drink at The Victoria!

A lovely pub close to the beach at Thornham so a great place to stop for a pint and bite to eat after a walk on the beach. In winter you can sit by the roaring fires, or in the summer enjoy a glass of something chilled in the wonderful courtyard at the back. We have always enjoyed the food although some of our guests have said it can be a bit hit and miss.

Sandringham estate is home to the Queen over the winter months and is certainly a place worth visiting, not just for the stately home, but also for the beautiful gardens. Check the opening times before you go however, as it is usually only open from April through to mid October.

Holt is a lovely Georgian town which is famous for Byfords, a fabulous B&B and deli. Holt has a selection of small boutiques and homeware shops along with a great toyshop above Starlings. As Holt does get very busy the parking can sometimes by a challenge, so if you're able to visit during the week that might make things a bit easier.
